Buff, NY Kotor and SW games

Anyone is playing this game here?
I am a huge fans of star wars games. I would like to see some opinions of last Kotor game.

I played a little of the first KOTOR, but didn't get too interested in the role playing. I tend to spend my time playing Battle Front because of my limited attention span.

There are other gamers here in Buffalo and they play all sorts of games. They will most likely pop in here soon.

Actually JediXXL, that was Ajunta Pall but you went to Marka's tomb. Both are ones of the first Ancient Sith Lord.
I don't need info on the game but more your opinion on it. Actually, if anyone has questions about Kotor world, I will be happy to answer. The storyline in both games is the strengh and I loved how deep they go and develop characters, especially in the second one. Battlefront is a fun game, my favorite map is the one on Hoth

Pc, I think those games are easier to control with a mouse

 

Did you ever play sw galactic battelgrounds?

Because they made a new Age of Empires game and that was what they used as the platform for SWGB. I hope this means they make a new SWGB. I can spend hours on that game still.

my friend Rob is probably the greatest player at any of the starfighter games... ever.

 

Any idea if they plan to finish KOTOR II? There are a few unfinishable quests that are not in the final release, but were in the BETA...

Obsidian were rushed with a deadline to meet and thats why they "did not finished" the game.
It would be a big surprise if they EVER release a patch with the missing contents but if they do, I will be very happy. What is frustrating is that all the missing contents ARE in your computer when you install the game. You can listen to those files even. Some people have worked hard on listening to those files and they put up a site. Here it is:

My best guess is that when was time to release the game (December 2004 for Xbox), they had to do their best to put everything in place to still make a sense for the storyline. But we are no fools. A lot of people could notice the big hole in the game and thats why some are upset. Personally, I am not upset, but if they make an effort to rework on what was not finished yet, well at least I can say they that they made it up to the gamers.
I will be patient on this and see what they will do.

 

jedijason8080...no i have not played sw Galactic Battlegrounds. I heard about this new strategy game they are making, it looks great. It will be called SW Empire at War and be released this Fall 2005.

To whoever is interested, there are a lot of people (neither from Obsidian Entertainment or Lucasarts) working to restore the missing files of Kotor 2 especially the story line toward the end of the game. Though they will not add anything to the existing game, they are just trying to make a sense out of the plot line.

I'm working myself on a gallery/story called One story of Darth Revan. I took millions of in-game screenshots of Kotor 1 and will put the best ones together to form a story with pics and descriptions.

My favorite lately is definitely Battlefront. My son and I play it all the time! Before that it was Jedi Academy. I also spent alot of time on Galactic Battlegrounds and I`m REALLY looking forward to Empire at War. If it`s anything like Generals (which I love!) then I`ll be one happy geek!

 

I like Battlefront too! I couldn't get into KOTOR. My attention span doesn't last long enough for the game to go full swing!

 

Battlefront II will be out November 2005. The new features look pretty cool.
- Controls of all combat space ships like Tie Fighter, X wings and ARC-170
- Jedi are available to play (only one per teams I think)
- new Ep III levels on Utapau, Mustafar and sky of Coruscant
many more new features

The Death Star is also a new Battlefront! That`s gonna be awesome, storming the Death Star!

 

I wish you could play as Vader. I would walk around choking people!

 

You will be able to play AS Jedi heroes. Darth Maul is in the trailer for it. I wish you could pit any two factions you want against each other. Empire vs. Clones...Rebels vs. Droids, etc. That would be awesome! Darth Maul vs. Darth Vader. Now THAT would be cool!

 

My vote would always go to vader. Sorry, I am a little biased!
