Circle of Life, KOTOR launched as an X-Box exclusive now it's Playstation. Those LFL know no bounds!

Let's also not forget that "Legends" is not the same as the old Expanded Universe. It's a catch-all marketing term for all Star Wars outside of the current 'official canon', and doesn't officially represent a separate continuity (that the old Infinites comics are "Legends" demonstrates that).
They'll probably just do what they do with the MMORPG - just not talk about how it relates to Star Wars overall, other than it's not in canon.

I do wonder, however, if they're going to revamp the actual RPG rules and such for the game, considering that the pnp RPG it was based on has been out of action for more than a decade.

Nah, the decision to do such a thing lies only with Lucasfilm and its subsidiaries.

Aspyr has grown a ton in recent years. They have also added quite a few people who have worked for Bioware in the past. They aren't really the small company that made some mobile ports. Though this is obviously their first truly big project.

 

How many games have they ported? I know they ported the two KOTOR games to mobile, Republic Commando, the Jedi Knight games. I think that’s it. Have they ported any non Star Wars games? Oh boy was I wrong
