    I apologize in advance for any wording in this announcement that may come across as terse or unprocessed, as I have spent the past several hours fumbling for comprehension of this situation and it is eluding me.

    Last night, LAJ passed away in hospital.

    The best I can do at the moment is offer you all a basic timeline of events and hope it suffices to answer as many of your questions as possible.


    If it was not abundantly clear to you, she was the Demerzel of the forums. While many, many Head Admins have come and gone for their season, LAJ "has always been here and always will be", quietly keeping the entire kingdom operating.

    Be grateful for her quarter century of service to this community and please be patient that absolutely no technical things are going to be dealt with until the staff have opportunity to process this and adjust to taking on some of her responsibilities on the tech side of things.

    Be well. Lean on your community if you need to and please do not hesitate to message me or any other member of the staff if we can be of assistance.

    Oh, wow. I didn't know her personally, but I don't remember a time when she wasn't quietly keeping this place going. I'm so sorry to hear this, and condolences to everyone who knew her better than I did @};-

    OMG. She was practically inhuman. She was on here night and day since forever... I can't imagine this place without her.

    I'm really going to miss her. I don't even know what to think right now. :( I hope the rest of her family's ok. @};-

    I’ve been around using 2 different accounts since 2009. To say I am stunned and saddened would be an understatement. LAJ was a rock, a constant in this community.

    I was extremely saddened and devastated by this news.

    She was truly a rock and tech wizard for our corner of the Internet for such a long time. She will be missed by our whole community.

    It will take time to heal and process.
