A submarine show that centers around a submarine giving up its only tactical advantage over conventional forces by hanging out on an island. What could possibly go wrong?

 

i know i find it harder to keep it goin' when i know im vulnerable to conventional forces

 

I remember Kings. Interesting show that was here and gone in a flash.

 

Kings should have been a hit series. It had all the elements for an incredibly broad appeal. I'm sort of mystified about why it never took off.

Ah, yes. Saul had one of the few good actors on the show.

 

I enjoyed Last Resort immensely. Andre Braugher is awesome, and with Shawn Ryan (of The Shield & The Unit) behind it, I hoped it would be a hit. Alas.

 

I heard they will cancel it after S1. I hope they will tie the storyline in a comic book. I would buy it.

actually no its been confirmed for a "retooled" second season, in which all the actors other than andre braugher will be replaced with cats and the theme sequence will be replaced with this youtube video



also a naval consultant will be brought in to ensure that realism is satified and the cats are depicted sitting around with headphones doing **** all for the correct percentage of screentime. to satisfy animal safety standards all catsturbation sequences will be cgi

Whilst the Unit was ok, the Shield was one of the most breath-takingly stupid shows on TV. It shares this honour with Sons of Anarchy.

 

okay the shield was a guilty pleasure but it wasnt completely irredeemably dumb like sons of anarchy

 

but of course as deadwood veterans you and i are a bit of a cut above, dont you think ender? we should give the little people some slack

 

The Shield was awesome.

Say what you will, but it was quality television IMO throughout most of it's run.
