Lego Star Wars-EP3 Jedi Starfighter and Mace

I've made a high-poly model of the Episode III Jedi Starfigher and the Mace Windu minifigure for an all-CG lego movie that I've started, so here are pics:

The Jedi Starfighter is completely modeled, if you can see it, it's modeled, ends up being 90,000 polys. Now, I must ask, this jedi starfighter is going to be for Mace Windu, so what color should it be, in the Clone Wars cartoons it was purple, but it could be pretty much any other color. So, what color?

You should enter my clone wars contest, take the audio from one episode, make it all animated legos.

 

Well, the movie is going to be somewhat of a series, it'll be cut into 3 parts, each about 2 minutes long with the last one probably going to be like 3 minutes. The first part is a space chase sort of, the second part is a fight, the third part is another fight and an escape. This will also include the General's Bodyguards and Grievous himself.

Wow. That's some great modelling.

 

That's interesting. I don't know if it's defocus or the antialiasing mode, but the pictures look blur to me. Are you try to simulate the small scale of legos with a short focus? I like the blue one and the white one by the way. I haven't seen the real lego, but the modelling looks good, I like the fact you model the top of the pieces but also the bottom. And one last thing: no lip-sync, smart.

 

Are you going to have your lego models put up on SciFi3D?

 

I actually do have some models I made earlier for a film that didn't end up getting made-Lego Republic Gunship-and the Lego Geonosian Fighter, but I lost the textures so I would have to redo them.

Now, the blur thing-I changed the antialiasing from the default setting to the Video setting which makes it blurred a little bit more, to try to get it more like a picture and less of like a rendered 3D model.

I haven't decided what the winner gets or even rules about the contest...or incentive for that matter, but hey, you might win!

Ok, I'm going to put up a poll on TFN Fanfilms to see what color it should be, plus it'll be fun, I can't really join into a contest, since I already have a movie to do with these, plus it takes long than you would think, especially since I'm alone.

Darthviper, did you happen to see the Star Wars animated short that Lego put out over the weekend? It can be found here. Although I don't really like the facial animation on the characters, there are a few fun moments.

And I prefer the purple fighter for Mace.

 

I thought it was pretty funny, I like the moment when dooku has grevious helping him with the reception

 

Or Yoda using the force the grab the mugs in the cantina. The best!
