Wether its canon or not, they seem very interested in post TROS content moving forward.

This looks to be good.

 

The return of immortal Emperor Palpatine.

 

While this isn't canon, i always felt they would bring Ren from the Kylo Ren Comic into more Star Wars lore.

 

Will this be Ren's first and last on-screen appearance? He is leader of the Knights of Ren in 19 ABY, I can imagine him being introduced roughly ten years earlier as someone for Ahsoka to duel.

 

I don't see why it would be his last. the acknowledgment of him in this form, after appearing in the comic, would suggest they might feel he is a reusable character.

 

I'm guessing Rey, Finn, Chewie, and Rose won't be in this one.

Well the last one was really a Rey story.

 

It's little weird we don't have Finn or Rey here as oggd force users in dark place. Or maybe Poe's force three relationship comes into play.

 

I'm starting to think they've completely forgotten about it. It hasn't been mentioned in 3 years now. (Poe Dameron #27 mentions it in passing)

 

The more I think about it the more I am certain Vader will be brought back. The cherry on top is if Poe says somehow Vader has returned

 

I haven't actually watched any of the Lego Star Wars specials. If they have the same style of humour as the games, I'll have to give them a watch.

I am all for the comic references that I saw in just the trailer alone.
