It might actually make for a really funny juxtaposition. You have Luke with his much more run-of-the-mill coming of age stories---he likes a girl in his farming class, he has to deal with a bully etc. Meanwhile Leia is already being groomed as a politician and dipping her toes in the Rebellion. Sign me up!

 

The problem with Vivien Lyra Blair's out of this world portrayal in OWK is if Jimmy Smits appears in Andor there can't be any Leia as VLB would be at least 5 years too young... and that is so sad for me because they genuinely are so watchable as (adoptive) father and daughter.

 

If Leia appears in Andor, it be recast or CGI Deepfake.

 

She is full of sass and mischief. She picked Breha's pocket to get her little droid back.

Is the child actress playing her close to 10 and just small for her age?

 

The actress is, in fact, ten years old.

 

She turned 10 when Kenobi was airing. Sometime in early June if I remember correctly. She was also in Bird Box. So two big films for a child actor

All I wanna say is the actress hit it outta there park with portraying a young Leia! The part where Rewva was gonna torture her in that device, the expressions, her screaming for help, etc. Man, I know nothing was gonna happen, but she made ya feel like scared for her. Damn, great acting, and directing right there!!

Interestingly, jakobeasts come from the same planet as Gigorans (the planet...Gigor).



Love these guys, by the way, and hope to see some more in the Andor series. Come on, Lucasfilm. You can do it.

 

I literally think of Little Leia indignantly proclaiming to her captors "I am a Princess OF ALDERAAN!" at least once a day--and it makes me smile.
