Does anyone recall the name of that game Chewbacca and Artoo were playing? I'm referencing that game in a story and while I believe I recall that game having been given a name, I do not recall what the name of it is.

From the Completely Unofficial Star Wars Encyclopedia:

    Dejarik
a holographic game played on a circular board with holographic pieces, dejarik was one of the oldest and most popular games ever created in the galaxy. Chewbacca had a dejarik table on board the Millennium Falcon, and was considered something of a master player. The exact origins of dejarik have been lost in time, and scholars and historians continue to argue over them.

So I'd guess it was in fact dejarik. :)

Some of the creatures shown in the Dejarik game are real creatures in the GFFA, I've read.
The "Fact Files" had an article about it.
