Whew! So where were you guys?

 

i'm at school for about 8-9 hours a day... i just realized that yesterday. thats where i usually am

 

How do they do this background check?

 

MOTION TO REDIRECT: I know, we're all back in school/at work, and it's a scramble to find enough time to do everything... but we can still hold it together!

Recently the Masters have noticed many Knights and Padawans who are Missing in Action! I know that some of you may be bored, or have forgotten about us, but we haven't forgotten you. Your contributions are important, and in fact, I need more Knights to register for patrol missions, and particularly, more who are willing to encounter spoilers. We also need all of the Knights who have patrol assignments to do them as diligently as possible given other cirumstances and Darth Real Life.

Some of you may be bored because nothing interesting seems to be happening in the thread, and I think I know one reason- we've stopped roleplaying the thread as a temple. Perhaps I was too harsh earlier. While we are not a roleplaying troop, and the Council would like to discourage excessive roleplaying with other groups, it's perfectly fine, in fact encouraged, to roleplay this thread as a temple, you know say "So-and-so enters temple, sits on the couch, turns on the TV with the Force," or whatever.

At the same time, there is more need than ever for genuine protection to take place, with trolling in PSA, the return of Omega-Prime and his minions, and a slight increase in trolling, not mention feelings running high, because of the events of September 11th.

Therefore, take just five minutes, ten minutes, fifteen minutes if you can, and patrol your area... read the threads on the first page, and see if there's anything out of whack... or come in here, hang out, and interact with other members of the group.

Some of you may be wondering about the slowing of Padawan acceptance and also of the trial process- a word of explanation may be required. Due to increased awareness of moles, spies, and unsavory characters trying to infiltrate the order, or joining the Order with socks, we have ramped up security, doing background and sock checks on incoming Padawans. We are also trying to create more meaningful trials for the Padawans to prove themselves worthy of Knighthood.

And perhaps I should say a word on September 11th: Death is always tragic, but death is the end of attachment to things. All objects and lifeforms are impermanent, but still more spring up to replace them, in an endless cycle. That is the way of things. Six thousand people have died, and we will mourn them long in our various fashions, and honor their memory, but killing more will not bring them back, cathartic as it might be.

I would also advise you all to remember that revenge is not the way of the Jedi, as revenge springs from the Dark Side, from anger, hatred and aggression, clouding the mind. The Jedi must be able to view the situation clearly and calmly, and to practice the Art of War and know who and what the enemy is.

Hello. How is everyone tonight. Having more time tonight I am browsing all the forums. Is this the same as the temple on The community forum?

I tried to get an Ezboard account to post at the temple link you gave. I filled out the information and it gave me a bunch of advertising pages. I clicked no thanks a bunch of times until I got a page that had no option that I could find other than to buy something????? Anyway my account never got created. Anyone else have this problem?

You are more than right!
It's good also that you let us know what is going on. That the order is not laying still.
Thats what usually hapens. You aply for membership and it takes a long time before anything hepens and then they get bored...
Boredom may lead to the dark side...

what? well, THAT last post really confused me! i am at school from 7:30 in the morning to 5 at night, isn't that 8-9 hours??

I start 8.30 every mornig with vocal warm-up for half an hour. Then i end the days between three and seven...
