Speculation Long-haired Leia

Since D-Day everything Episode 7 related under the suns has been discussed . . . almost.

How could we forget Leia?! We've talked about her being married to Han, divorced from Han, cheating with Lando on Han, having kids with Han, being a Senator, being Supreme Chancellor, being a Jedi, being a politician with Jedi powers and just about everything except for her iconic hair!!!!

So will Leia have long hair or short hair? Carrie currently has shorter hair that she's worn virtually since Jedi ended. Will Disney/LFL give their Princess her long hair back so they can make all kinds of crazy do's???

Will she wear BUNS???

 

I simply had to vote "Bald" because it was far too tempting to let it go.

 

Going with long.

Although, thinking about it, most powerful women nowadays have short hair:

 

It's gotta be long.

 

That just means they're boring.

I say, go for the middle road...not ROTJ-long, but not 'modern politician' short, either.

Shoulder-length. I want to see how many hairstyles they can come up with when you don't have a mile of hair to work with....mostly because my hair is also brown and about that length and I'm getting bored with clips and ponytails.

 

Eh, just hope they don't do a Padme thing with Leia and have her change hairstyle and wardrobe more or less midsentence.

Lucasfilm figured out that more outfits = more action figures, my friend. I predict, at minimum, three costume changes, per lead character (returning OT characters and new heroes), per film.

And I know I sound cynical about it, but really, I wouldn't mind a bit more variety than, say, generally making Han wear trousers with Corellian blood stripe and a vest for three pictures. I agree, though - they did go waaay overboard with Padme in TPM.

 

Yeah, I know it is basically about action figures, nothing cynical about it but I found the costumes ridiculous and the rate at which she switched hairstyles and elaborate outfits made me wonder when did she have time to actually be a senator.
Agreed about more variety but y'know...there is a limit, hah.

 

The Buns feels like a nostalgic bit for the OT, so I'll say long hair for the ST just to give it a different feel.

 

I hope so. I still collect Han Solo action figures and collectibles!

 

I think they should go radical and give her a mo-hawk. They thought about giving her father one for EPIII so let's see the concept finally come to fruition.

I've notice the snow suit thing and always wondered about it. Plus, she's missing the vest when she puts it back on on Bespin. Hmph....

I vote long but maybe not too crazy with the hairstyles

If she wore it short, it would be a lot like Mon Mothma (which makes sense in a way) but I'd like for her to keep the legacy of longer hair

I liked her look in Dark Empire. To me, she looked like a Jedi.

I'm guessing Leia's hair might be like Padme's where there are nods to Original Trilogy Leia hairstyles. Long or short, I bet there will be braids.

 

Long with a few elaborate styles. That's just the Leia people will expect and I see no reason to change that.
