How is everyone's summer? Have you taken any fun vacations or found time to relax?

 

I just want to shout it loud: I am LOVING all the Olympics challenge entries!!

 

My summer is over. But college is great.

That's awesome!! I had an absolute blast in college. Have you picked a major?

 

My default response is to say everything, but that's not super helpful.
I'm doing a really-generally-titled liberal arts program. And it's amazing.

Everything is going well, except that the dorm room window keeps sliding open and startling me.

Not sleeping at night, so I have been sitting at my computer writing a TFA fic, and installing anti-virus software.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble sleeping! My only trouble with that is a very attention-needy kitty who like to wake me up for pets

Hello, Moonspun! I'm doing well -- we just got some nice weather, so I've been trying so spend more time outside! And cuddling with kitties How about you?

 

I'm fine, thanks. The weather here has been fine, too. Though the gnats and mosquitos are horrible. Aww! I miss being around kitties.

 

That's a bummer! It's not quite warm enough here that the bugs have started coming, for which I'm grateful. It fluctuates between sweatshirt weather in the morning to t-shirt/long sleeves in the afternoon.

Our kitties are pretty! In fact, mine is sitting on my lap purring as I type this.

 

I'm here on and off, lurking. Grad school's kicking my butt right now (on top of my thesis, I have four (!!!) ongoing teaching/research assistant contracts with my department).

I'm jealous you have kitties, Nat! I really want a cat. Or two. Or three. My residence building had a "pet therapy" day this weekend (you get to go and play with animals for a couple hours), but I sadly missed it because I had a six hour rehearsal. Blah.

How's everyone's writing going? I'm crossing my fingers I can get back into writing fanfic after my grad program's done. I've been away for it for aaaages now.
