LOTR 3 Meet-up

Actually if you go to the onering.net it confirms it.

I was watching the uk morning show This Morning aware he was going to be on it and he has infact verified that his character will not be featured in ROTK, he seemed sad when he mentioned it but due to a confidentiality agreement he was not able to comment further. What he did say though was that he didn't know why they had done it and stated if they wanted to know the reason for it they would probably have to speak to New Line or Peter Jackson.

The main vibe I got from it was that he couldn't really comment but he seemed really disappointed, I really felt for him. He has also just stated he won't be going to the premiere, so it would appear he was cut without being asked, he seems greatly dissapointed. He said there is no point for me or Brad Dourif to go to the premiere we're not in the movie! Its a sad state of affairs he seems as shocked as many of us are.

 

Its discraseful.

How can they Just leave a vital character like Saruman out of the Movie?

 

Until i actually see the movie, i refuse to believe a word of it...it's just too rediculous.

I don't think he'd lie about it.

 

I think it's a sure bet Jackson has cut Lee out. From what I heared jackson wanted to kill Saruman in TTT just so that he's done with him.
Chris lee isn't someone who would play along with a publicity stunt, so there's little chance of this being a stunt or lie.
And if it does turn out to be true it would be interesting to see if people see my point of view about jackson this time round

 

Funny you should say that, as i my once positive view of Jackson has suddenly started to waver a bit.

 

That's OK Yoshee, it does sometimes take time for people to see my pov so nothing new there, lol.
But some support would me most welcome this time, I felt like neo fighting all those smith's last time

It will be weird to wonder the fate of such a good character.

What happens to Saruman in the books?

 

The scottish guy that plays one of the hobbits (either merry or pippin, I can never remember which) said on the radio last night that he doesn't see what all the fuss is about and that Saruman's story was more or less finished at the end of TTT, so there's no need for him to be in ROTK.
I think we can all safely say Chris Lee has been cut

I wont say what happens to him in the books incase it spoils it for people, but it's quite different to what will happen in the film.

 

But if Saruman isn't in the film, then you can tell us what happens to him & wormtongue.

Just don't mention other characters.

There's no point having him in it, if there's no 'scouring of the shire'. Its a superfluous character in rotk otherwise - its already been established that he was a pawn of Sauron, his power has been broken by Gandalf, and Orthanc is defeated.

Get off the bandwagons and just appreciate some damn fine films!

If everyone can hold out this long, can we do it sometime during the week beginning 5th January? Only i am going up to Telford this coming Wednesday to stay with me bird, and won't be coming back til the Monday (5th Jan).
