I tipped the scales in TPM's favor! Yes! I just had to do it. I don't plan on seeing ANY of the LOTR movies,Tolkien just isn't my thing.

At the baseline I judge a film by how many times I would be willing to watch it... and I've watched LOTR once, and doubt I will again.
It's good, but hasn't captured me like tpm has.

LOTR is the best. TPM sucked compared to it.

 

I have to go with LOTR on this. Very un Star Wars of me, but LOTR was just a better movied than TPM. TPM was a good movie but it didn't have the thought capturing, the emotions, and the just over all acting that LOTR did.

 

Ya, I'd have to agree with you, Pearl_Burrows. Granted, TPM's a good movie, but the charictors aren't as deep, and there's not as much.......for lack of a better word, feeling to it. That's what I really like about LotR, and it's somthing I believe TPM is missing.

Just my opinion.

 

Definately LOTR. I'm sorry to say that TPM just doesn't compare on any level -- the score was good though.

Sorry to spoil your LOTR worship session, but this should really be on the community board. Ahh, forget it, there's at least 2 or 3 LOTR topics on every Star Wars board.

Think about this guys. Why does nearly every Star Wars fan hate Titanic? Because it earned more money then Star Wars. What if LOTR makes more money than Star Wars did? Chances are you won't care. LOTR is steering you away from why you're here. Star Wars.

I stay true to Star Wars. I can't wait till May when a real movie comes out. Please don't tell me to see LOTR, because I WILL NOT. I read the Hobbit and I hated it, and I won't like these movies.

 

You're wrong. I hated Titanic because it was a lame story (a poor love story on the background of a great catastrophe? Please...), and it has Leonardo di Crappio in it. That's enough for me to hate it.
However, LOTR was great (and you can't judge it if you read just the Hobbit, because there's much more to LOTR than just that), and as a SINGLE MOVIE it was better than TPM (IMHO). I'll always love Star Wars. That's why I'm not comparing them as complete series, because that's impossible. But if you take out single movie, LOTR beats TPM easily.

 

Didn't see Titanic. Didn't WANT to see Titanic, and if you ask me, I don't think that just because this is a Star Wars board, is a good enough reason to not make opinions of your own.

TPM was good. LotR was definatly BETTER!

Just see it. Wait. Don't. Because if you go into it thinking Whatever happens, I refuse to like this movie then you won't like it.

But, all I know is that TPM is good until you compare it to LotR. That is what I call GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!
