LSO versus RSNO

    The London Symphony Orchestra has been the go to ensemble for John Williams from the very beginning of the Star Wars saga. They have performed the score for every film in the canonical/sequential series.

    In the mid-90s, though, Lucasfilm got Joel McNeely to create a "soundtrack" as a part of the Shadows of the Empire media blitz, and this music was performed by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. I recently discovered a posting on amazon in which the RSNO did a performance of "Main Title/The Arrival at Naboo" and it has since, for me at least, become the definitive performance of the Star Wars main title theme.

    I'm curious if anyone else has an opinion on which orchestra creates a better sound for Star Wars. Here's a resource for comparison:
