In the "John Williams' Love Themes" thread, JediMaster22 said he would like to see lyrics for Across the Stars. Well, once that idea got into my head, it wouldn't get out. So, here are the lyrics I've come up with for AtS:

From 0:00 to 2:29:

Now...I'm a cynic who doesn't like mushy stuff, and was only half impressed by the 'Luke & Leia' lyrics. But that was superb. The rhythm and rhyme were excellent and those lyrics were absolutely grand. A great job, StarWarsGirl.

I might try some lyrics for the End Credits finish, if they can somehow fit after that display of emotion, and of nobody gets there first!

 

I just saw Cabaret last night, so it was inevitable that I was to hear Tina Arena's voice in my head while reading that.

That's one of the parts... At the musicaly equal parts I have the same problem...

Perhaps, you can correct me... Which syllables are to be sung on one note?

ChimealHeltei : I think the words fit the melody there...I had originally omitted the "Now," but I realized that what sounded like one continuous note was actually two notes in the same key.

 

I'm not sure if it was the same person but there was a "poem" which pretty much was lyrics to Luke and Leia. Should we make an official thread where people write their own lyrics to different Star Wars songs?

 

Yes. I'm preparing some for The Arena. Comedy lyrics, obviously. I think that should be allowed.

How about we change this thread name to Lyrics (if that can be done) and someone post the Luke & Leia poem in (preferably the author), and we let it carry on.
