Fan remake? It'll likely encounter Darth Legal if it is continued.

That was the Apeiron project. I think they're referring to this:

It is still ongoing. So long as it's not making money off their IP and/or acting as a substitute for their product, I doubt Lucasfilm minds.

    It's also a fanfilm, not a game.

Is it worth picking up the High Republic YA books, as an adult?

It's worth picking up YA novels, as an adult, period.

Yes, at least one of them is scarier than the adult novel it links to.

More generally the YA range has been reliably consistent in being high quality - the only duds for me the Dameron one and Force Collector.

Just providing another perspective: so far, I've actually gotten more out of the two middle grade High Republic books than I have out of the two YA books.

True, the real horror lies in the kids books!

I found them to balance scary and funny well, plus, having lots of characters from other sources showing up was nice.

I haven’t read them either, but I saw that Tash and Zak Arranda are showing up in this month’s issue of Star Wars Adventures — a good excuse for me to scrounge at my local used book shops in search of the series.

So i'm not against this existing but i do have little interest in it and am fascinated on how it could capture the magic of 2018

As our resident She-Ra aficionado Jid, do you have anyone in particular you'd like to see cast?

I also agree that it's going to have a hard time competing with the animated version. It's like doing a life action of Spirited Away. Sometimes it's better to leave the original alone.

I suppose Melissa Benoist since she played Supergirl and She-Ra really is just Supergirl and Wonder Woman mixed together. But that is if they wanna go for a very light hearted tone.

My fear since this is a Amazon Exclusive is they are gonna try to turn it into a Middle Earth Tolkein like Epic which is ....Just not the spirit of She-Ra...Like at all

I'm not even against remakes or reboots since He-Man has DOZENS of them 80's 90's 2002, Revelations, that new CGI one.

But 2018 was so definitive but also...Live action, really?

Honestly I wish they had gone the Revelations route and just made a reboot that was more a spiritual successor to the 80's show at least that would have been interesting.

    This....This feels like a downgrade.

Some things should just stay in the realm of animation. As an anime fan I’ve learnt this the hard way.

    Bingo!

Although to be fair....I would be a hypocrite if I didn't say I do Unironically LOVE 1980's Live Action Skeletor
