Making a Lightsaber

Im looking to make my own saber, but im having trouble locating a piece of chrome pipe for the hilt.

Anybody know anywhere i can get some. I live in caerphilly but can travel.

Hardware shops like B&Q might have the stuff you are looking for, but you may be better off looking for hoover pipes at second hand stores. (Thats what I'm using, If I had something decent to cut it with that is).

 

I went to all the local B&Q stores today, and have picked up some chrome piping, but its a bit on the thin side, although thinking about it some rubber grips could increase the size.

Ok anybody know what i could use for the grips?

 

That stuff they use to seal in windows it quite good... or the rubber from your car windscreen wipers

 

Has anybody tried the windscreen wipers method, as im having a hard time imaging how to do it.

Do you use strips of it lengthways or cut strips and wrap it around the hilt?

 

i bet a million pounds it wont actually ignite!

 

use enough petrol and i bet it will!

Who are wikes, do they have a website, it not whats the address.

and ive tried stores like B&Q and Homebase, but nothing yet, im going to try the plumber and builders merchants either this weekend or next, ill post an update.

I think its because I live in Lliswerry, which means that its probably somewhere on the other side of town.

 

Any chance you could dig up an address as i dont know newport that well.
