Imagine telling someone from 2008 "they're filming the Thrawn trilogy with Ahsoka as the main character and everyone's overexcited".

 

Genevieve O'Reilly as Mon Mothma in the New Republic era is super awesome! She's been great as the pre-OT Mon Mothma. This sets a good precedent for casting newer(?) actors. Mon Mothma goes from Genevieve O'Reilly to Caroline Blakiston back to Genevieve O'Reilly in the span of ten years. Maybe some hope for recasting the rest of the OT trio or Alden Ehrenreich and Donald Glover returning in the post-OT era

 

Apparently they also showed the first several minutes of next week Mando episode.

Depends on what Filoni wants to do and where they think they are with the de-aging tech, especially for a feature.

How do basically have an Avengers level film in the New Republic era and leave out the 3 biggest heroes of the Rebellion?

 

-New evil jedi with orange sabers instead of red. Fun. Reminds me of Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight even.
-There is also an inquisitor who seems separate from them. Flashback?
-Great to see more of Thrawn's HK droids, seemingly acting as magnaguards now
-The new New Republic ships look good as well. Wonder if these are warships or diplomatic vessels?
-Speaking of ships, I wonder what one of the evil jedi is flying - cockpit view isn't a tie, but kind of reminds me of a tie, like a jedi interceptor
-Hera looks like she is still a new republic general, but also getting into the action herself
-Is Sabine in a Republic ranger jacket rather than her armor in that first shot? Interesting. (Though, man, guess that means we won't get an appearance in Mando and no reaction to anything that has happened to her culture over the years)
-Glad to see Morgan Elsbeth return. Though man, between her and Gideon, the good guys are really bad at keeping people in jail.
-They are really going all in on the rebels connections. I don't know if it will alienate the casual audiences, but whatever, I will enjoy it.

 

Probably (hopefully) warships acting as diplomatic vessels. Interior seems pretty similar to previous Mon Cal cruisers. I can see these being a smaller class of cruiser better suited for the demilitarized NRDF.

 

I pretty much liked everything in that trailer.

New dark Jedi, Sabine and Hera, Chopper!

So, those dark siders... Anyone else notice the chevron motif over the chests on their costumes? Kind of reminds me of Darth Caedus's armor.
