    Wow, DaenaBenjen42, now I'm impressed.
Are you good with Mando, or did you use a dictionary?
I'm just glad the thread wasn't locked due to nobody knowing what I am ranting about.[face_blush]

I recongized the Mando language, but to be honest, I could only translate a bit of it (I seem to have misplaced my handy list of words!) But I loved it! :)

I could do a rough translation.
Okay, I admit I can only post a polished one.

    Wish/dream/I wish

    the music our souls sings
    is beautiful sound together
    but I
    can sing no longer

    the colour our hearts burn
    are a bright fire together
    but I
    can see no longer

    a battlefield in my head
    death and destruction
    and I
    I can fight no longer

    I cannotsay 'we' again
    can't say hello/still alive, beloved
    what if
    what if
    I wish 'if' had been

    the future is music
    but I
    can listen no longer

Hope that helps until you find your list again, Vadey.:D

    Thanky NiobeAsha.
I think Mando is the perfect language to write sad goddbye poetry. they go off and die all the time.

If you don't think it's too cheesy, I can post more...

Okay, so was the magic word 'Mando' or 'translation'?:p

I'll remember that, dianethx. The next one will come with translation included. Promise.

Ask and you shall receive, NiobeAsha. It's a great way to learn a language.:D

I'm just beginning,jedi_of_ennth . But the translation of the next can't keep up with the next, I think.

[face_shame_on_you] earlybird-obi-wan , if it wasn't in mando, where would the connection to Star Wars be? I can't just post poetry here...

Say, Darth-Spider-Queen, does that mean you're knowledgeable in Mando? Could we pm in it?[face_batting]

Thank you,KotOR_girl . It's a beautiful language. Even if it does feel like tlaking with your mouth full of stones.;)

Yes, ratna, there is. On Karen Traviss site. Very useful, if incomplete. (Why is there a word for 'painting' but not for 'to paint?')

Okay, on to the next. translation included.:)

    just being with you
    being alone no longer
    makes me complete
    and connects me

    Don't you remember?

    just being with you
    I was a song
    all hear me
    I was beautitiful

    Don't you want to remember?

    just being with you
    a fire in the void
    see my colour
    fill the sky (daylight)

    You cannot remember.

    but I remember
    remember us

I loved this. I read the first one, translated a few lines and gave up (but was still impressed):).

But I really like this second one especially the end, and thanks for the translation. Great work.

I jzst have a hand for poetry, azizah. Comes easy to me, unlike other styles of writing.
No reason to be that impressed, though, I'm still making much use of the word list.[face_whistling]

    Man, Anderson84?o_O
    I'll take that as a compliment, too!:D

I'm still working on learning. Makes makes writing in in much easier. But the lack of words.... *sigh* maybe you'll realize what I mean with the next one. Maybe my fave so far.[face_love]

I am trying to capture the spirit of a language that is mainly spoken and has a long oral tradition. So I use repetitions and alliterations (when I can) . If anybody knows what else should be in such a kind of poetry, please tell me.[face_batting]

to see you unable to touch
to hear you unable to reach
to know your hurt but unable to help
to hear your sad song though all times

    it is pain

    I know pain

your heart singing the song of goodbye
not right at all, not right at all

    I now pain well

    'we' gone
    completely gone

Su'cuy. Big Mando fan here. :D I've just registered here, but I have been lurking around and reading the fan fiction here for some time.

I'm surrprised to see someone writing in Mandalorian, especially poetry. It is beautiful. I've tried pronouncing it, it sounds nice. Rich and powerful......pure Mando. :)

Pronouncing it is difficult, but I think some of it sounds pretty good. If you speak Mando with German accent, that is.:p

Thank you, Jedi_Drizzt. I'm glad you like it.:)
