Still really want to get mine done--an armor party would be great.
However, I will probably have to wait until the end of summer. Can't believe how quickly our time fills up!

 

We can try. But that's a busy day and would depend who people were imaging to costume and in what order

 

I'll be in my armor at the end of the game. Expecting to be Leia for most of the game but while we are waiting for the show we should have some time!! At least for a few of us. But I'm in!!

Man, the scent of Bondo really can't be unsmelled, huh?

 

I love that smell! It smells clean, and new!

 

I never liked the way my chest plate "fit". Today, I hit it with my heat gun and now, it's fits much better!!! Have I mentioned how awesome WORBLA is?!! I think I will remake the piece.... After Saturday of course. And after my "snaps" lesson from BOB.

Didn't end up wearing the balaclava as it made the helmet fog up too much. I just cut the sleeves off of a grey t-shirt and pulled those up around my neck/chin.

 

BTW, I bought a 1 gallon size Bondo Body Filler (which is enough to finish about 10 helmets). So, if you decide to do this in the same style - I'll hook you up

 

Also, some of the things can be re-used. Like, the $40 Aker voice amplifier can be used with any helmeted costume, and is a real crowd pleaser. It also has a 'line in' and you could hook it up to an MP3 player to play other sounds (like, for instance, Chewbacca's vocalizations...)

 

I would have to approximate mine to 250-275 as well.

 

I really don't wanna tally up my receipts...

 

Id hate to do a tally on mine as well.
I know just the helmets were $200-$300

 

I gotta say, for all the work it takes I'm quite pleased with the Rubie's Jango once all of the mods are done to it.
