    I think Netflix has said they don't want to produce that many Marvel shows simultaneously to avoid becoming the Marvel Channel.

    Yep. Looks like while we'll get IronFist, Defenders and Punisher in 2017.

    Then new seasons of Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Daredevil in 2018.

    Then the cycle starts over maybe.

    Still, three shows a year is still an expansion over their initial release pattern.

    Heck, the original deal with Marvel was only for the first season of the four characters plus the Defenders mini, so any second seasons (or even spin-off first seasons, like Punisher) are all above and beyond.

    Yeah, fans are hoping that Netflix orders a Blade, Moon Knight and Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider series from Marvel, as they would fit pretty well in the Marvel Netflix-verse.

    Shohreh Aghdashloo (The Expanse, 24, Star Trek Beyond) joins the cast.

    Aghdashloo will play Farah Madani, the mother of skilled Homeland Security agent Dinah Madani (Amber Rose Revah) who’s vexed by Frank Castle (Jon Berthal). ​

    Farah is an Iranian by birth who has spent most of her life living in the U.S., where she’s established a successful practice as a psychiatrist.

    Interestingly, Disney have announced that they are launching their own Stream Service in the next few years and are likely to withdraw their properties from Netflix....

    Last I read only Disney properties were definitely shifting over- content from Lucasfilm and Marvel was considered negotiable and the Defenders shows are definitely staying on Netflix, being a co-production.

    Teaser at the end of Defenders was neat, and they're flat out putting out episode titles, I'm surprised they haven't put a release date up yet. It'd be funny if they just dropped it exactly 8 weeks after Defenders hit.

    We also got a new teaser yesterday (extended intro from the one after Defenders) so, yeah, it's gotta be relatively soon.



    The teaser scrambles the month/day part of the release date, heh. It's this year though, always has been set to be so. I'm thinking late November or first week of December- they're going to want to give Stranger Things a wide berth for hype since there's genre crossover there. But they'll want it out before the xmas season goes into full gear and people are busy with Star Wars or not watching TV due to parties.

    I'll say this much, Netflix's The Punisher looks much better than Bruce Willis' Death Wish. Which is ironic, because the before Netflix's Punisher, I was always saying that the character should be like Charles Bronson's Death Wish. Now, it's looks like the remake of Death Wish should be more Netflix's Punisher.

    So anyone think this'll drop in the next 30 days? Netflix is playing coy with the release date just cuz but I saw that promo art /film stills were sent out to online magazines, etc. Maybe not on Oct 31st, that's Netflix's Stranger Things Season 2 landing date. I get the feeling it might be sooner than Nov / Dec.

    Ragnorak come out early November, hot on the heels of Stranger Things. So after those.

    November 17 seems like an ideal slot, with JL out that day :)

    It would be something if The Punisher drops the same day as Justice League, not that it will cut into the Justice League's take at the box office but it would make for a great weekend for me.
