Me too Bobatron. My mother was a God-fearing Christian woman, and she had no problem with buying my brother and I all that stuff. In fact, I think she enjoyed it. She was the sort who probably would've told off somebody who said that all that stuff was bad with "Don't tell me how to raise my kids!".

I vaguely remember my aunt giving my parents some grief about buying me scary, violent toys, but then I also remember my aunt buying me Evil-Lyn. She either had a change of heart or she decided that she wanted to corrupt me and make her children look better than me.

Has anyone else got their Two Bad in the mail yet? Two Bad Review

He's a cool figure and I think he was pulled off fairly well (he's probably 85% newly tooled) but his heads are really close together and his torso is not organic looking like the vintage or 200x figure. It's really neat and straight where Tuvar and Baddrah are joined together.

I have one on the shelf next to my laser skeletor, Tytus and megator.
I'll probably give the other one away at a charity thing or something.

Hm, so the question is the muscles. Are they going to bulk him to a point like Hemsworth and Cavill and that's good enough for He-Man, or will he be Adam as is, but CGI him to He-Man level?

They're going to use the tried and true 80s method and use a separate person, a bodybuilder, to portray He-Man.

In watching Masters of the Universe as a kid, it always bothered that Prince Adam and He-Man looked like the same person. They only real difference (aside from the outfit) was He-Man has a nice tan. There really was that Clark Kent distinction from Superman when it came to Prince Adam and He-man. So, if they did go with the 80's method of a Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno, I could see the thought process behind it and I would hope they pull it off.

I remember back in 2015, there was some supposed concept art of Battle Cat.

Now if that version of Battle Cat is accurate, I hope it means they'll take Masters of the Universe more seriously that Dolph Lundgren's 80's version. I would so love a Conan The Barbarian meets Game of Thrones meets Lord of Rings type of Masters of the Universe.

He man fan here. Mattell got sued by Conan Properties, Inc. Mattell had the power and won against Conan Properties. The case appears to have been decided in 1989.

    CONAN PROPERTIES, INC., Plaintiff,
    v.
    MATTEL, INC., Defendant.
    MATTEL, INC., Counterclaim Plaintiff,

The goal was originally to create a generic boys toy line. The mythology came second, in the same pattern as Transformers and other 80s toy lines. Action figure line came first. Mythology and stories using the action figures came second.

Interestingly, there was an attempt to create a Gold Key comics line for He Man before the DC comics appeared. I found a PDF with some story panels and artwork for Gold Key when I collected the digital comics.

Now how can you suggest a movie named Masters of the Universe would be a flop?

    Me too!

I've hearing Kevin Smith talk about this series for about a year or so now. I was hoping for a trailer to drop sometime today but the images look pretty good.

I take it this reboot is more adult-oriented than the She-Ra show.

Yes, more adult oriented than She-Ra as noted in today's Variety article, which also gives the synopsis of Revelations:

Here's some images from the Varity article.

Looks similar in style to the 2002 series.

Which is great, I liked that a lot

I can’t wait to see it. I loved the 80s version. I did not like the 2002 version very much. If this series is picking up where the 80’s version left off, ,I think it should be interesting.

I'm pumped for the Kevin Smith series. I didn't get the cartoon as a kid but saw a handful and didn't like them. It was the early mini comics for me. Hopefully the series does well (which I believe it will) because Mattel is putting a hell of a lot of pressure on it with 2 toy lines. They've definitely over-packed Skeletor and He-Man in the updated retro line.

I'll watch it for Teela and Evil Lyn.

It'll gonna be difficult for me to see Orko as a serious character, considering how I remembered him.

Remember how Barbie is the ultimate example of unattainable physical standards and is thought to have caused a lot of young girls to suffer from self-doubt, depression, and body dysmorphia? So anyway, check out these quads:
