    Also, am I the only one who didn't realize he had such a common, American-sounding name? I knew him as the Doctor but never know his actual name and always imagined it being more pompous sounding like Benedict Cumberbatch, or Denholm Elliot or just about anything but Matt Smith.

    I think he has the potential to be a Knight of Ren who helps usurp the throne forcing Ben Solo to become an uneasy ally of the Resistance with this new character and the other Knights of Ren the new Dark Side users.

    I suspect most of these later casting announcements are for characters who will only appear in a couple of scenes at most.
