So CO May Meeting - Star Trek

Hey, it's been several months since our last meeting, so is anyone interested in doing the new Star Trek movie and possibly food before/after?

I know most of us 'met' up at Starfest, but this might be more 'official'. And by 'official' I mean we could pretend we are still and 'active' group that does 'stuff'



Or we could just start a debate on Star Wars vs. Star Trek....

Ok, first we decide what days DON'T work...then we narrow down the time. I'm thinking afternoonish Saturday or Sunday, or Friday night, but then we contend with the teen-y boppers....

Probably can't do a midnight showing, although our babysitter is usually awake then...

 

midnight showing would not work for me. i think Im good for most evenings/ weekends.

I believe it opens May 8? so the sunday after that perhaps? whatever show is around 2-4 pm?

The movie opens on the seventh...so sunday would be the 10thish?

Yep, we had that discussion, what better way to celebrate than by going to see star trek?

 

if its gonna be on mothers day my attendance might be kinda iffy. not sure what they family is gonna cook up but chances are at least 1 sibling from denver will be down so i will be expected to be at the folks the whole day.

 

Unless it was late in the evening I can't go then. We're going to some brunch with my Mom and Grandparents.

 

Hhmm...well, I could do saturday late?

 

I'm doing a Pampered chef show Saturday Morning (you guys are invited, 11 am - bring your mother ), so anytime after that finishes would probably work, just need a consensus of 2 at least.

 

I'll still be in Denver in the morning on saturday, so no pampered chef party for us this time...darn it, you know how I love them so.



If it doesnt work out, we could always go next weekend or do something else. *shrug*


I am actually gonna see it friday night anyway...although I am sure I wont mind seeing it twice.

This looks to be a busy weekend for all...should we try for Sunday May 17? mid to late afternoon? I think I could hold off seeing it for that long, if I HAVE to.

I have a nagging feeling I am suppose to be doing something that day...

 

I may have a babysitter lined up for Sunday afternoon/evening.

 

I checked, and there are movies at 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30. The one at 5:30 is 'digital' whatever that means...

Any votes for time?

 

i would prefer a later time. like the 630. but i shall bend to the will of the group.

 

I have to work until 6:30...

 

there is a 730.not sure how that works with kids though. i yield decisions to those with kids.
