This thread, too, must pass. It is the way of things, the way of the Force. :yoda:

Burn the thread, but keep the posts themselves tucked away on the Falcon for the next generation to use.

Just rewatched TFA. It is a fun film. Honestly, I like it more than ANH, TPM, and even ESB. It has a lightheartedness that AOTC had, a joy and wonder that SW IMHO needs.

So, back in February, I watched ALL of the SW films in a row, and I even watched Kenobi in between Solo and R1! And I didn't realize this, but it was the first time I had seen the SW films in almost a year. I don't know how that happened. But NOW, I have a hankering for some more SW already...even though it's only been a couple months. 11 films and a series...do I really want to commit to that all again? With how busy my life is these days, it will take at least a month...

Perhaps Indiana Jones would be more appropriate right now!!

I like The Force Awakens, but this was quite entertaining. Some neat art in it as well. Looks like AI-generated art to me

I like the Holiday Special 1978 and think the whole thing needs to be on Disney + and canonized. *Retreats from stones rotten tomatoes and raw eggs*

I know it's odd to quote myself, but as it was posted back in May...

I ended up choosing Indiana Jones-and I'm glad I did! It had been almost two years since I've seen any of those, and it was quite an enjoyable journey thru the series. Then just a couple weeks ago, the new one did NOT disappoint!

I would move on to Star Wars NOW...if I wasn't in the middle of LOTR! :-B

Ringing in another dazzling New Year!

The last ST movie I watched was roughly half of The Force awakens before I got distracted and did other things. Before that I had recently watched The Last Jedi and enjoyed it. I noticed the opening fanfare in The Last Jedi was a little off key and tinny, at least on Disney +.

We're pretty certain that we'll have two live-action and two animated shows coming out, but there's very little solid information about them yet. I would expect to start getting release dates and teasers for at least a couple of them soon. I hope that Tales of the Jedi takes on some different characters and has more than 6 episodes. I'd also like to hear some casting news for the Rey movie beyond Daisy herself. There are a couple prequel-era novels coming out that sound intriguing, as well as more High Republic, but I want something more in novel form from the eras in between the trilogies (either one).
