V.C, CA Meeting 71

Anyone up for a meeting sometime? I can mostly drive now!

 

I'm down, provided we iron out a location and time in advance.

 

Well, I now know that any Applebee's locally is out. Weird that they all poofed at once!

What days work best for you?

 

So obviously this weekend is out. I've been crazy busy with trying to get a job. I'm trying to land a permanent job with the school district, and almost did, but the bureaucracy involved has been a nightmare. Like literally, I had been recommended for the job but one tiny error in the hiring process has started the whole thing over again. It has just been stupid.

Anyways, perhaps next weekend would be viable? Or Sunday at least. I have First Aid & CPR re-training until 4pm on Saturday (8/29).

 

I think Sunday's OK. Afternoonish?

 

I'm fine with that. Any specific time work well for you or anyone else?

 

Ah, I blew it. I have a worship/arts event at church on Sunday afternoon!

If you guys do it next weekend (Labor Day) I may be able to go! I'm probably going to be home that weekend.

 

I'm gone Saturday and into Sunday, but I could do Monday.

Lots of costuming work to do in my "spare" (= putting off dishes and laundry and housecleaning) time.

 

I'm open Sunday, not sure about Saturday though. Monday might be ok though.

OK, where'd everyone go?

 

Sorry, I've been spending my days looking for employment. I'm so sick of filling out applications. And I've found out, that the traditional method of asking for an application and turning in a resume, appears to be passé. Everyone, well retail at any rate, sends you to their website to either print an application and bring it back...or to sit in front of your computer for 45 minutes filling out an "application" survey.

And boy is there an extreme shortage of work around here. There is work...if I want to drive 30-45 minutes for minimum wage... I don't think so.

Oh boy...off on a tangent!

We definitely need to have a meeting though. But, NOT this Sunday. It's my mom's birthday and we're going to dinner.
Up for suggestions?

How about the weekend of the 10-11th?

 

Wow, I must be in the running for worst CR ever. I'm sorry guys. Interesting fact: Did you know that unemployment is based off of previously earned income? Currently, I make more in unemployment than I would if I took a part time job at minimum wage. Makes it kind of hard to look at slumming that low. Alas, I may be looking at doing that if I don't get some call backs soon. 16 applications, 4 interviews, and still no work. Even Target is starting to look good.

Anyways, we NEED to have a meeting. I'm up for this weekend if we can put it together fast enough. Otherwise, next weekend, the 24th-25th is also good for me. Thinking lunch at the Olive Garden, Mimi's, or Topper's might be good.

 

I could do Sunday late afternoon this weekend. Next weekend is my grandmother's 90th bday party.

 

Sorry, my Sunday just got kind of weird.

On a separate note, I just spoke with Johnathan. He said he could maybe do a Tuesday or Thursday dinner type meeting if anyone is willing to go on a weekday.

I know I may not be available this coming Tues or Thurs, but perhaps the 27th or 29th? It's an option if anyone is interested.

 

Tuesday nights are rehearsals for Noah and Paul...

 

This may be asking a lot but what about Thanksgiving weekend? I'll be around.

 

I'm busy Thursday and Saturday but could do Friday.

 

I could likely do Friday as well.

 

Let's call it, then. I'd prefer a daytime meeting, if we can. What works for you?

Any time after 1 or so should be cool. I may or may not be doing the Black Friday thing.

I'm going straight home after work tomorrow and not bring my computer so there's a good chance I won't check the boards between now and then. If we confirm a meeting time please someone send me a text and let me know. Thanks!
