Yup, that's right, I'm trying to keep dead horse alive with healthy doses of floggings! Seriously though, is there anyone here who could make it to Salisbury/Southampton for a meet up? I'd suggest doing it in Salisbury on a Wednesday so we can go watch a film (I get Orange Wednesdays so it'll be cheaper on Wednesday). It doesn't have to be Star Wars or even sci-fi. I seem to have forgotten what I was going to see, so, um, yeah! A meet up! Let's see if we can do this!
I can get myself and others in for free at any Odeon, depending what is on. I'm fine to go and see something sometime. Best maybe use the facebook group if you want actual responses though
I still live in the middle of nowhere and still can't travel. I'm still looking to move though, which should help. What would help more is having more people to meet!
I have to ask, who are actual active members of FanForce South? And that doesn't include you, young master Richie
Feel free to join our facebook group, all upcoming events are posted there. I will do one soon for Collectormania in Milton Keynes which is a South event https://www.facebook.com/groups/319023707835/?fref=ts
Yeah it's a good event, and it's free entry which is great. This is the first year they've expanded it since it moved to the Stadium, before it was in the shopping centre and easier to access.
'Active' in Fan Force means attending meets, events, etc. (Not necessarily in costume though there are plenty of costumers on the boards.)
Is anyone going to the Excel in London this coming weekend? I'll be there on the Saturday in my Maul costume.
I have recently moved to Southampton and would love to attend any FF:South meets etc that may happen at some indeterminate point in the future. I've managed a stunning 10 meets in the 12 years I've been a member here, I'd like to get this up to an average of one per year if possible!
I was made a (job) offer I couldn't refuse. Also I was tired of all those Doctor Who fans clogging up the streets taking photos all the time! You couldn't go to the corner shop without bumping into someone in a bowtie and a fez! (this has made me homesick)
Ha! We haven't been yet but that was the easiest way to sell moving to my son, there is an enormous billboard with Peppa on by the train station and he just about lost his mind when we went past it
