Yeah sometimes you have to let go and let yourself mourn instead of being strong. It's important to go through that process.

 

I get to stay with my therapist. He requested that I and another one of his clients move with him, and it was approved. I'll only get to see him once every three weeks, but he'll be giving me DBT assignments to work on at home. This is so much better than starting over with somebody new. I'm very happy about this.

I just had my appointment with my new psychiatrist. Already things are in the works, as apparently since I have fibromyalgia I should be taking a different antidepressant that also helps with nerve pain. My old one never mentioned this.

 

It's nice having a psychiatrist who listens and actually gives a ****. I have a great psychiatrist. So happy for you.

Moving forward, I am starting dbt, and I'm so glad I get to stay with my therapist.

I am happy to report that days after I made this post I experienced a real breakthrough and my novella -- I think that's what it is -- is now up to 25,000 words and counting. I think it's about 2/3 complete.

 

*sigh* So since my company was sold I have new health insurance... So now I have to switch psychiatrists yet again. Not even my original psychiatrist is in network, nor my new one. I have an appointment in mid February. I went back to my original meds because the new one that was also supposed to help my fibro gave me a constant eye twitch.

You should still have a trade period of 30-60 days to get all your refills and appointments in under your old insurance, right?

 

Sorry @solojones hope you can find a psychiatrist who will work for and with you.

I've been in a pretty nagative place, the past couple of months. I'm doing what I can to hang in there, but I'm having a really hard time, lately. I worry it's been coming across in my posts, which I don't want, so I've been posting a bit less (which could also be considered isolating). Thanks for listening. I needed to get this out, at least a bit.

 

We like having you around, and your posts don't come off as negative at all. I completely get the isolation part, I've stopped talking to virtually all of my co-worker friends and that's negatively effecting me among other things. But the JCC kind of feels like a safe haven.

 

@harpua your posts are not negative at all. So glad to have you here (with the added bonus of Ms Diva).

I need to reboot the positive here and skip thinking about the situations I know will resolve themselves.

 

If you ever feel like you can't post normally in other threads, just post your thoughts here. We don't care if depression is warping your perspective. We get it.

She really does. I was trying to take a pic of her while she was sleeping, and she looked at me, at just the right moment.



Things are pretty bad, but I'm doing my best to hang in there. I have a therapy appointment Tuesday, which will hopefully help.
