I’m a novice with under-the-hood knowledge/tire issues; can drive/take over the wheel if my brother or friends have an sudden issue, though.

Yeah, I’ve never had a license.

 

Gotcha. Nothing wrong with that. Except that I can't do it because
1) there's literally no transport from my suburb to where I work
2) I throw up on busses. It's happened three times.

Aaaanyway, I am back to trying to figure out what to do about a pschiatrist. I had a new one, but then I thought maybe she was out of network with my insurance, so I set up another one... but now I think she might be in-network? I'm trying to figure it out. Reminds me I need to call them again and ask them to run it.

 

I'm at the max dosage of all my antidepressants now. I'm feeling a bit better, lately. A large part of it is the upcoming season change. I generally have challenging winters.

 

When things get back to normal, you might see if any local schools/colleges are offering adult ed classes in car maintenance. It's a good way to learn basic stuff.

 

I really should, but cars are just my least favorite subjects in the world outside of subjects like math, and logic-based stuff. I have an attitude problem about it and that gets in the way of learning. I wish the States had more equitable and widespread modes of public transport, but then I also value the independence that comes with car ownership, so I really should take responsibility over my education about it because it will save me $$$ if I can invest time in that.

 

The only car maintenance I know myself is how to change a tire. We learned this actually as part of my self defense for women class, so we wouldn't have to rely on random sketchy dudes stopping to "help" us.

 

Yeah, I can change a tire. That's about it.

 

I had car problems over the weekend. More stressful then it should have been. I think it was other things than the car, but that stress brought other issues to a head.

 

I haven't had to drive my car in a year, which relieves the worry of car troubles quite a bit.

Sooo my new psychiatrist is definitely not in-network, even though her hospital is. Go figure. So now I have to wait until April to see my new-new psychiatrist, because I had to cancel before due to a massive snowstorm. Sigh. Luckily I still have like six months of med refills from my old psychiatrist who only saw me 5 minutes once a year.

 

So, I got a job at a garden center, which is awesome, because I am a plant geek. It's a seasonal position, ending on July 4, but that's okay. Super excited.

 

I'm doing well. My deperession has eased off, some. I'm feeling really positive about things, moving forward. I feel calmer.
