Well, if the Kaiju rampage all over the earth with no opposition except for the heroes and we spent a lot of time establishing that the heroes of the first movie are completely misrable failures both on a large scale and on a personal level, then yes.

 

Finished Expanse, Season 2 on Netflix - Still easily the best SF TV I've seen in years, utterly brilliant.

 

Well, uh, I’m pretty sure that isn’t a coincidence.

 

There's actually a planet Trantor in Star Wars.

 

What’s with the Uh, how or why would I be expected to know that already ?

And IIRC Korellia shows up fairly early on in the first book.

 

If I recall right, it's Korell, but the adjective Korellian gets used.

There's also a politician named Bail.

I admit I laughed

 

I was scrolling fast and thought that pizza was in the shape of the Bitcoin symbol at first... Now off to check if cryptocurrency has popped up in Scrooge yet while I brew more coffee.

(Hey, what do y'all put in your coffee? I drink mine black but like to sprinkle cinnamon in with the grounds before I brew it. But it's time to change it up. Nutmeg maybe? Toasted coconut flakes?)

 

The books are fantastic, highest possible recommendation. Also one of the few series that is as fresh at book 6 as it was at book 1.

 

I have the books patch, haven't started as I want the entire series before I do so. Just don't remember plots as easily when there's a year or two in-between!
