I have been booked at the Courtyard since May. I paid way too much for the room, however! Oh well. I guess I made the right choice in a hotel though, right?

 

I'm in. Spooky, since you are staying there, keep me informed of what your fan force is doing as far as getting up there. If you guys are planning on getting a bus, let me know. I'd much rather pitch in on a bus or drive with someone else than drive there the whole way myself. I'm just a short hop up the road in Radford, VA and would be more than happy to come down to Winston Salem and help chip in on transportation etc.

it cost me $255 for three nights. I have classes and finals coming up that week so I literally have to leave thurs morning, get there, and leave sometime sunday evening. I don't want to miss too much class......

My FanForce group is staying there too

 

i stayed there for C:II and it was a nice place. good price, the room was good-sized and there's a tgi friday's connected to it. verrry close to the ICC also, just walk through your parking lot, across the street, and you're in line. no skywalk, but they do you no good at getting in when it opens each day since they would only let you line up at the front entrance.

There's actually TWO Courtyard Marriotts...

the one through PL is the Courtyard Marriot Downtown (As apposed to at the Capitol) and it DOES have the skywalk...

 

really? that's strange. i knew there were two courtyard's, but it seems strange that they'd go w/ a different one this time. well then...forget what i said about skywalks

Are you sure it's connected via skywalk? The convention center website lists it as a block away, which is the impression I got from the map as well. Now, the regular Marriott is connected via skywalk, but that's a different hotel altogether from Courtyard.

Either way, close enough for me!

The official Marriott website says no skywalk, but it's still ludicrously close. Besides, at $40/room/night, I'm not about to complain.
