This stuff is drivel. Who can drink the crap? And why is it that only old people seem to drink it? The mascot guy is annoying too.

"soda" and "pop" are terms used for "soda pop" depending on what area you live in, and how the populace likes to call it. At least that's what I've heard. I think the USA's west coast likes to call it 'soda', and here in the midwest area you may often hear 'pop'.

Does anyone say the whole thing: "soda pop"?

We don't use "soda" up in Canada to refer to pop. Ever.

 

I HATE Moxie!!!!!

Moxie is a soda that is only sold in like New England. It's disgusting! I live in Maine, and there is a town called Moxie that has a Moxie festival every summer. I hate the mascot to. This summer, some relitives from Virginia came up to visit us, and they were eager to try Moxie. They hated it.

Yes, it's along the lines of Coke and Pepsi. Moxie was actually the first mass marketed and mass produced soda.

Well, technically you can't use the term cola to cover the citrus-based drinks such as Sunkist, Minute Maid, 7-UP, etc.

Scratch that one.

Let's call it Liquid Sugar.

 

I know what your talking about and yes it is horrible. We had a whole bunch of it at YG one time and we all agreed it was horrible.

 

In Australia we called it by its name, ie: Coke, Fanta, Pepsi, Lift, Sprite. Or called it fizzy drinks. Well I did anyway. But never soda. only time we ever said soda was baking soda.
