Weeks 9 and 10 combined:

Denethor was the de facto ruler of Gondor, and he took his stewardship seriously.

Boromir was daring and headstrong while Faramir was prudent and weighed options and courses of action carefully and thoroughly.

Denethor was a man of daring action and sometimes Faramir's approach tried his patience, but he realized that a wise ruler needed to not rush headlong into a situation without careful consideration.

Boromir's arrogant folly led to his demise and was a tragic confirmation of not seeking the dangerous and forbidden.

Galadriel could not put a name to the thoughts and feelings Celeborn stirred in her. It was not attraction, per se... Or so she liked to tell herself.

She was cool and aloof to his jovial overtures, not what one would call ornery or tetchy.

But rather than put him off, it seemed to make him more persistent.

The Enterprise crew embraced the motto "Ad Astra." Adventure and personal growth beckoned.

Ah, it's nice to be finally caught up on all of your lovely drabble sets.

My favourite has to be the one about Arwen, how losing her mother ultimately led to her falling in love with a human and choosing mortality for herself.

But it's also so cute how Nyota Uhura's relationship with Spock started with her having a crush on her instructor. Given the number of admirers he rebuffed in the original series, I'm quite curious to see how she managed to lock that down!
