On Padme's Ruminations for Revenge of the Sith, there is a string motif starting at about 1:36 into the track that sounds similar to (or at least reminds me of) Dooku's return to Coruscant in Duel with Dooku and End Credits (starting at about 0:51) in Attack of the Clones. Does anyone think there was a purpose to having these two motifs (from ROTS and AOTC respectively) similar in phrase and darkness? And come to think of it, on Padme's Ruminations at 1:36 in the track, what exactly is taking place in ROTS? I can't remember.

Those are similar passages. Hard to say whether they were intentional... they pretty much sound like random, foreboding melodies to me. But Williams has a habit of making an obscure thematic reference when we least expect it.

1:36-end of "Padme's Ruminations" is from a separate cue called "Palpatine Instructs Anakin." It's from the scene where Palpatine tells Vader to storm the Jedi Temple. Some of this cue was replaced by tracked music in the film.
