Amazing masks, Cat!! I especially love the Obi Wan, mostly because I'm partial to the character, and because you've done such an outstanding job with the painting of it: it looks like a cut-out from a bigger portrait, of him in his Jedi Master robes, arms crossed, looking wise...

And yes, it won't be just "the kiddies" wearing these, I'm certain!

Thanks people... I am still getting used to it. Very weird to read about yourself.

I forgot to mention that my site has been completly overhauled, so please check it out and let me know what you think. We still have a few minor glitches to work out but overall it is done.

Congrats on the artist profile. That is quite an accomplishment.

I really like your latest drawings. I especially love the one with Luke and Vader and the one with Anakin and young Obi-Wan.

Thanks for the compliments folks...may be the last Star Wars bit for the time being. I will be drawing until my fingers cramp up over the next month, with the sketch card set for the LOTR Evolution series. Hobbits, Wizards and orcs! oh my!

 

Oh, wow!! I missed Cat's latest pieces!!

I love the pencil ones (although they're all fabulous! ): the Vader/Luke one in particular--I totally agree with HS29 that the composition of it, with their epic fight scene framed by their faces, is just breathtaking... I bow to your superior "eye!" I also love the Obi-Wan/Vader piece, with its similar layout. The Obi-Wan/Anakin piece is very powerful, emotionally--I think that part of the film really gripped most of us! Just beautiful work!

LOTR cards?? Will they be on your site?? It would just be awesome to see some of those done by your expert hand!

I just discovered your work. I have to say it is absolutely amazing. I can get over how beautiful they are. You are definantly talented.

 

ok, so I lied. I had one more in my pocket before i dig into Middle Earth.

This was a commissioned piece for one of the premiere Star Wars Art collectors. I was very nervous about getting it right.

Oooo! A Leia from each film!! And they all look gorgeous--and your commission-ee has to be dancing the mad-Ewok dance over this! I would! That shot of ESB Leia is one of my all-time favorites, too, so of course I love it--again, just stunning work!

Wow, these latest pieces are phenomenal, Do have a camera surgically implanted in you brain? 'cause you're so good at seeing the various gradients of tones and values and transferring them perfectly into your work. Anyways I love your sketchy style, you capture such a great likeness, almost 3D with very few lines and tones.
