Summary: Four year old Obi keeps a journal.
Note: There are numerous spelling/grammer mistakes in this story. These are there on purpose, because I think that a four year old, even if he is a Jedi, wouldn't be great at that sort of thing.


my journal

my name is obi-wan. i just finished lerening how to write today. this is my journal. i didn't want to call it a diary because it sounds girly. i had to ask master falla how to speel journal. i'm not that good at speeling yet.

master falla said that i can practise writing in my journal so i can get better at writing. she said i can write about wat hapens to me here to. i like writing. its fun.

i'm going to be a jedi wen i get biger. master falla said that i hav to lern and get smart so i can be a jedi. jedi are very very very very smart. jedi can use the force to. i can use the force a litle bit. i can make a ball move without toching it. and i can push people without toching them. i'm not suposed to do that thogh cuz i mite hurt somone.

i hav frends. there names are bant and garen. there four years old like me. we play togethr. my favrite game is blocks. you can bild things with them. and i like to play speeders to. me and garen like to make them crash. bant dosent like to make them crash thogh. she likes blocks better. she likes to sim. i like to sim but garen dosent cuz he gets water in his nose.

i hav to go now. master falla says its time for bed time.

I love this, spelling and all! I don't think I would like it half as much if it were perfect, because I don't think a four year-old would write perfectly, either. It makes it so much more realistic.

I don't think I could bring myself to purposely misspell words, though. Not even for the sake of being realistic. I don't mind messing with grammar, but spelling things wrong on purpose? Nope!

theres a boy in my creche caled bruck. i hate him. jedi arnt suposed to hate but i hate him anyway. he cals me oafy-wan. IM NOT OAFY. he says my feet ar big. MY FEET AR NOT BIG. he nocked down my block towr onse. ON PURPOS. hes meen. i wnt to punch him somtimes. HE MAKS ME SO MAD. master falla says jedi shoud control our feelings BUT HE STIL MAKS ME SO MAD. he brok my toy speeder today. i cryed. he got in trobl but im stil mad at him. garen shared his speeder with me so i feel a litl beter now.
we hav to go for a wak now. bye.

 

Ah, I'm glad Garen made him feel better. Bruck is a meanie, dear Obi, so feel free to call him that.

I really like this. Little Obi-Wan is so sweet!

 

thers a nu girl named siri in my creche. i dont no if i lik her or not. shes nise but kinda anoying. she gigles to much. she laffed wen i told her my name but shes just a litle kid. shes only to years old. i played blocks with her but she thoght it was fun to nock them down insted of bild them. i tryed to teach her no thats not rite your doing it rong but she woudnt lisen. she started nocking down others peoples blocks to. she nocked down brucks though. it was funy!

Reading this part about siri reminded me of my two year old daughter. It practically discribed what she would have done to a tee.

we went simming today. bruck didnt get to go cuz he was mean to someone. SO HA. master falla taut siri how to sim cuz she didnt no how. she lerned fast. we had a splash fite and we had a contest to see hoo coud hold there breth longest. bant won but it wasnt really fair cuz she has gils. siri liked spiting water in my fase. it was gros! cuz EVRYONE nose that GIRLS have COOTIES. And COOTIES are GROS!

i lerned about something caled valentines day today. Its sposed to be about people hoo are in luv. jedi arnt sposed to luv cuz its against the code. I am glad cuz people hoo are in luv kis and hug and stuf and it is gros.
master falla said even thogh jedi don?t do valentines day we can stil mak cards and stuff for our frends. I think I wil mak siri a card to welcom her to the crèche.
