My Life as a Stoner, or How I Stalked Talon Intelligence Squadron

I'll never forget the day I first laid eyes on him. He was in a convenience store buying cheap booze down in the dodgiest levels of Coruscant. I don't recall what I was buying because when I saw him I was overwhelmed.

I fell into step behind him to see where he was going, anything to give me a clue as to who this hawt man could be. At the next corner he stopped and started arguing with a woman who had been waiting there. The woman had a disturbing mop of braids that were in a tangle resembling a hawkbat's nest.

Since there was a crowd I was able to get in closer and I heard her growl at him, "You know I hate eblowdberry. You know it!"

The gorgeous hunk beamed at her with his charming smile, "Of course, I knew. That's why I bought it. Get your own wine, Trika."

Please say his name, please say his name, please say his name.

"So help me, Staff Sergeant Janus Talson. You can trust that I'll get you for this, Stone," the woman spat with a slick smile. "As usual," she added when he wasn't listening.

That's the last thing I remember before opening my eyes and looking deep into his. His?

"Where am I?" I gasped and tried to sit up.

"Easy now, lay back and let us finish checking your vitals. You passed out on a crowded pedestrian path," he said a calm, sexy voice.

Next thing I know there's a tangle of braids dangling in my face. "Clearly she was frightened by your ugly mug and passed out. Now let's move it!" The braided woman elbowed him in the gut. "We have to get back to base."


A firm hand shoved the woman aside and he leaned back over me.

"Have you been ill or have any preexisting conditions?" Stone asked... yes, that was what she called him. Staff Sergeant Janus "Stone" Talson.

"No, no illness. Unless being in love is considered an illness?" I sighed.

Then I was gifted with the same charming smile he had given the Trika woman.

Trikes - Don't bother containing yourself, and I'll attach a GPS so you can monitor stalking activities.

An update is right around the next corner! We're going to start tracking my man of mystery.

 

I've spent every spare moment combing the HoloNet to find information on this man. He's definitely a holodrama star because he knew exactly what questions to ask when I woke from fainting. It was all too perfect, as if he had read those lines countless times.

Wait. I smacked my hand on my forehead and recalled what the woman said. Staff Sergeant... he's military. Why didn't I think of that sooner? All the hours that I wasted searching the grocery store tabloids... and I'm still blushing over the ads in those free dating flimsies I grabbed from the lobbies of bars to look for him in.

Then the glowrod over my head clicked on! I'll hire a private investigator and track down Stone. One of my co-workers had used a PI to check out a boyfriend recently so I got the name from her.

On my break I dialed up Stud Mackrel and arranged for him to put together a file on Mr. Staff Sergeant Janus Talson.

My New Year's resolutions are to find Stone and then to get to know him...well. With Stud on the team, this'll be a piece of cake.

 

Ceillean - Stud's going to need all the luck he can get!

Next you must get caught up on the Talon stories and you haven't lived til you try Bullwinkle's caf.

 

I met with Stud today on my lunch break. He's sort of weird but I'm feeling pretty good about his competence. I'm just getting basic information and Stud's promised to have it ready in less than 10 days. Next payday I'll be able to cover his fee for the juicy details like what brand of toothpaste, etc.

We could be planning the wedding by spring!

In other news, my team at work set a sales record and we won a weekend in Mos Eisley. Our boss claimed it's the trip of a lifetime so I'm pretty excited.

Gotta get packed!
