I'm sure there would be plenty of interest Lord_IceMan.

Can you give us a few more details?

Such as the basic plot of the film, what you specifically require etc?

Good to have you here by the way.

I think you are the second new poster to arrive here today. That's something of a record!

So, where abouts in Wales are you from?

Funny you should mention dual.... [face_thinking]

I happen to have acquired a video clip of a dual in a game of chance, some say the best ever made.

It isn't rendered yet, and doesn't have a conversation about the Sith or Jedi, but if your looking for something that you can get to work on, it might suit you. There are some really nice shots in there, such as us fighting against a sunset.

    So, you interested?

    Check your PM's.

I sent you a link where you can download it from.

You probably haven't had a pm before, so if you look towards the top of the screen, where you can change pages etc, there is a option selection for "Private Messages". It should have a "1" next to it.

Click on it and read your message.

    Hope it's ok.

    Ah..

Slight problem. My computer died a couple of days ago. Very long story involving a stupid "file shampoo" disc and my cousin.

Surfice to say all my start up and registry files have been delited and i'm now posting on a mutated, cobbled together piece of old junk.

I just hope my brother can get my computer back up and running, cause it has all my files (including my movie files) on there, so I can't re-render the movie in a different format until it's fixed.

Your not using a Mac are you?

    Looking good!

Is that a forcefx lightsaber in a very dark room or clever rotoscoping?

When you say "act", what exactly do you mean?

What kind of story and dialog are you after?

So have you managed to get a looky at the link for the movie I sent you?

When you say "Rebuilt", I assume you mean after Return of the Jedi?

I know the books have covered this topic exstensivly, but after all the information we got from the prequals regarding how the Jedi Council works and opperates, the plots and stories regarding the rebirth of the Jedi in the books seems laughable and totally out of synch in comparrison.

Training acadamy on Yavin IV my bottom!

How the hell are the Jedi supposed to be the guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy if they are shut away on some moon in the outer rim?

Anyway, I'm getting off the point.

How about the illigitmate child of a Sith Lord? Count Dooku for example? Perhaps this child of a Sith has been waiting to learn the ways of the force and corupt the knowledge for the dark side, so he joins the Jedi ranks, learns his mojo, then turns on the Jedi?

If you want a lot of good information on just about anything to do with making star wars Fan Films check out the Fan Films board. I'll warn you though, most of the guys work to a really high standard, so you'll have problems with their stuff with only movie maker. Also everyone works with .mov files, because it works on pcs and macs, though i know quicktime can have real problems on some people's machines.

Basically, if you want it to look 'real' (as in, very realistic) then you'll want to look into rotoscoping your lightsabers, which a lot of people around here can probably help you with, but it'd mean swapping your force fx sabers for props and then having them edited in post-production. The last piece i did (That i have access to, cos like Welshguy, my computer screwed) you can see here, in .wmv for your viewing pleasure.

It all depends how adventurous you want to be really, and how far you want to go with it.

Also, the opening crawl -can- be made 100% accurate, even with free software, again, on the FanFilms board you can find tutorials about this.

    Good luck

LordIceMan: Yes, yes, listen to Rhys you must.

just out of interest, do you know how to rotoscope, or are you relying on FX lightsabers in a dark room for your dual?

The video footage i'm offering you isn't rotoscoped i'm afraid, so if you don't have the software and knowledge to do it, it's going to look pretty crappy.
