I really hope he doesn't die. After all the **** he's been through both in the OT and in the last 30 years, he deserves a happy ending.

my basic idea goes like this. Ep 8 starts with the FO attacking Cloud city The resistance troops, led by Finn and Poe, show up much to Lando's delight but they quickly disappoint him saing this is not a fight its an evacuation. Bascially it is the star wars version of Dunkirk. The FO will destroy cloud city. Lando will die here. The resistance are in desperate need of allies so they turn to the Hutts, whose organisation has grown considerably since the fall of the empire. The HUTTS capital world is Naboo[ Im thinking it being so close to the outer rim and without Republic/empire to protect it it would be a good target for the hutts] We cut to Rey being trained by Luke. He explains that the first Jedi Temple is a source of great power. Before the days of Hyperspace travel the jedi would use the natural power of the temple to send out a beacon to force sensitives, calling them to the planet. This is why Rey see's the planet in her dreams. Luke tells her that when she is powerful enough they can use the power of the temple to find her parents. We find out here that Rey has a connection with Kylo [ from the interagation from TFA. ] She can feel his anger building.Cut to Kylo going through some very hard mental training. i see him having visions of the past when he was a happy child. Snoke tells him to destroy these memeories. Think Luke in the cave, but Kylo is encouraged to use his weapons and strike down the visions he see's .So leia, flanked by Finn, and Chewie meets with the new Hutt leader called Corlo. There would be a lot of tension in these scenes, references made to jabba. Corlo would be an interesting character. He would be angry at Leia for killing Jabba, but also glad she did, because it gave him the chance to fill the power vacuum after his death. Corlo is desperate to protect his growing empire. Leia offers to acknowledge his ownership of naboo as long as he helpss in the fight with the FO. He is unsure if the resistance will win this war.He threatens to hand her over to snoke to get on his good side. But she tells him that once the FO has defeated the Resistance they will turn to the Hutts, and the only way to stop the FO is to join forces. We cut to Rey who has a vision of the future. she see's Finn and Leia and Chewie in pain. She goes to help them. Luke tells her she is not ready but she says she has to try. She asks him to come with her but he refuses. She tells him that the Luke she heard about growing up would die for his friends. He says that impulsive bo is long gone, so she leaves herself Snoke hears about this meeting and sends Kylo and the knighs of Ren [ Who are a bad-ass hit squad, no more than that ] to Naboo to capture Leia. They arrive and tell Corlo to hand over LEia or they will attack Naboo. Just as it looks like Corlo is about to submit Rey turns up and saves the group. The Knights attack, leading to a big action scene. Leia,Finn,Chewie Rey and Corlo escape on a skiff and the Knights give chase on speeder bikes. Eventually the knights take down the skiff and and this leads to one on one confrontations between the knights and heroes. Rey kills 2 of the knights and Finn kills one. The four Knights left manage to subde the group. leia tells the kylo to spare their lives and just kill her. But a hate filled Kylo says he will kill them slowly and as painfuully as possible to make her suffer. At this moment when hope seems lost. Luke show up.He picks up the blue lightsabre and fights the four knights with the green and blue lightsabre's. Luke wins, kills the knights and captures Kylo. The movie ends with Luke trying to interagate Kylo but getting nowhere. Rey has a go and , because of their connection, is successful in finding out Snokes location. But Kylo starts to taunt her about her parents and promises to break out and find them before she does and kill them . The last shot of the movie is the combined fleets of Resistance and Hutt Ships blasting off into Hyperspace to find Snoke

If I had to rehash The Empire Strikes Back, as Episode VIII most likely will, the following would happen:

The Resistance has moved its base to another location in First Order space. A war is being waged with Republic and First Order, but there is not enough momentum yet for the Republic to invade. General Leia is still in control and Finn and Poe serve there with her. First Order forces find the new Resistance base and siege it. Resistance forces are mostly able to escape, but Finn or Leia is captured by the First Order in the hopes of locating the remaining pieces of their map to Luke Skywalker. Kylo Ren leads the offensive. There is a tense reunion between father and mother here. Snoke wishes to torture her to bring Skywalker out of hiding. Poe or Finn escape and head off to warn others of the coming attack.

Meanwhile, Luke has been training Rey in the ways of the Force on the island planet where she was raised. The First Order shows up to attack the temple where they are and must flee. Thanks to the help of Chewbacca and the Millennium Falcon, they escape any new attack and are able to make it to hyperspace unharmed. Now that the attack is on, Luke's primary goal is to get himself and Rey back to Republic space and train. They turn to an old friend of Luke who can smuggle the two to the Resistance under the nose of the First Order. Using this resource, they are able to make it back to the Resistance to restrategize.

Sort of like Rey escaped from Starkiller Base, Leia is able to outsmart even Kylo Ren and signal here location to the Resistance before being subdued. The Resistance picks up her signal at a First Order fortress and plans a rescue mission. An assault on the base begins. Using a secret lightsaber which Luke once gave her, Leia is able to escape using powers of the Force to rendezvous with the Resistance. A large scale battle between Resistance and Imperial forces begins here. Luke over powers all of the Knights of Ren and is able to capture Kylo Ren alive. During the skirmish, Rey is captured and taken prisoner by the First Order. We are left with many questions now as Ren is held by the Resistance and Rey by the First Order. A resolution must come in this new wave. Rey is brought before Snoke who is eager to train her as a replacement for the captured of Kylo Ren and torture her into joining the dark side.

    Let's discuss Episode IX too.

The Republic has begun to get the upper hand against the First Order and is slowly moving towards crushing them. Rey has been successfully converted to the dark side and is now serving with the Knights of Ren. Kylo Ren has been imprisoned by the Resistance as Luke Skywalker works with him to return him to the light. He is extremely resentful at first, but eventually with the help of his mother and uncle, relents and returns to the light. With Ben Solo returned to the light, he seeks chance for redemption. He feels he must help to deliver Rey from the light as well. A rescue mission is in order for her. The Resistance plans an infiltration mission using the intel which Ben Solo has given them. Ben leads these resistance fighters to a pathway inside of First Order Space, they intend to locate Snoke himself this way.

Meanwhile, Rey has been successfully turned to the dark side and is now a servant for the Knights of Ren. She is before Snoke and awaits for the opportunity to confront Luke again and strike him down. The Resistance fighters locate a transport which can take them inside of the compound where Snoke has gone into fortification and destroy him or capture him for the Republic. This group infiltrates the massive compound where Snoke is located using the Force and begins to make preparations for an eventual joint Republic and Resistance strike to take out Snoke. Snoke of course becomes alert of this plan in order to bring Luke and the others into a trap. The other Knights of Ren capture the party and bring them before him. Kylo Ren is allowed to resume his old role and seems to do so for awhile. He gives a great deal of details of the coming attack to the First Order again to prove his loyalty.

Luke remains imprisoned and tortured by other Knights of Ren in order to gain more valuable knowledge from him. Snoke plans defenses for an appropriate counter attack to the coming Resistance and Republic fleets. Torn between both sides, Ben Solo eventually decides to turn against Snoke and the First Order for good. He attempts to assassinate Snoke as Vader did, the Emperor, but is subdued by Kylo Rey and imprisoned. Ren is able to convince Rey is desperation to return to the light and ally with him. Just as the Resistance fleet arrives to take out Snoke, the two redeemed Jedi begin to rise against Snoke and free Luke. All three Jedi turn their efforts to brining down Snoke and the Knights of Ren in one final battle. These Force users all battle each other for domination. Outside, the Resistance battles what remains of First Order leadership for control. The Knights of Ren are defeated first, but Snoke lands a seemingly fatal wound to Luke as well and it appears the Jedi master will probably die. Both Ben and Rey turn their energy against Snoke and are able to strike him down for sure. They evacuate Luke together in a parallel of how Luke tried to save Vader from the Second Death Star as all crumbles around them.

Eventually this last First Order base disintegrates all around them. The Republic has won and crushed any remnant of the Empire once and for all. There is celebration. Ben and Rey finally forgive one another and are ready to return as new Jedi knights. With Luke healing from his injuries, he knights both of them as the first in a long line of new Jedi proud to reserve the Republic for generations to come. They return to the temple on Coruscant.

Here's my treatment of the opening scene, from the "dream opening" thread:

The crawl recedes, and we see a star field. The camera pans down onto...a large asteroid.

We hear the static of a radio signal. The signal goes quiet, and a very small, subtly sinister ship emerges from what looks to be a makeshift hideout in the large asteroid. The ship flies toward a nearby planet, which has an urban blight on it visible from space. The ship begins a landing cycle. We see the interior of the cockpit, but from behind the pilot, and he's just a dark silhouette.

The ship lands in a very dingy part of a bustling, but seemingly poor, city. It's Crime City from the concept art for TFA. A mysterious figure - a bounty hunter or perhaps a Knight of Ren (KoR) - exits from the ship, and we see him in profile. Someone else emerges from the shadows, and quickly covers up the ship with some sort of tarp. The camera pulls in on the bounty hunter/ KoR, and we see that it's Benicio Del Toro.

Del Toro walks off towards the city center, and through the bustling crowd of a busy marketplace, or a wild festival. Something akin to Bond walking through Mexico City at the start of Spectre (see below), but with lots and lots of aliens. He quietly weaves and bobs through the eclectic crowd. It's a riot of color and noise.

Finally, Del Toro comes to a small plaza, and at the end of the plaza, on a platform, there's a great, fat Hutt, performing a bread and circus routine. He's a gangster providing food and goods to people in a time of crisis. A cynical Robin Hood. The so-called "virtuous" mafioso. A translator shouts: "The First Order cares not for the good people of Gongol-Din, and so, the great and generous Hakata the Hutt brings you aid in this time of need." Hakata the Hutt's minions start tossing items into a swarming crowd. We see this from Del Toro's perspective. As the minions then fan out into the crowd, he makes his move. He weaves through the crowd along the edges of the plaza, quietly, until he finds himself behind Hakata the Hutt, but at some distance. He points and fires some sort of silent dart into the hutt's neck. The hutt imperceptibly slumps, and Del Toro walks away from the plaza, slowly but deliberately.

Del Toro speaks into a small device: Target 137 terminated. Got anything else for me? A sinister voice replies: "Good. And yes. The planet Ahch-to, in the Outer Rim. Target: Jedi Master Luke Skywalker. And his daughter."

OMG HE SPELLED Snoke like Smoke and spelled Anakin wrong. I honestly don't even know what to do. Plus the crawl tells us stuff that we already know from the end of TFA. Wow that's pretty awful.

I'm not really good at stuff like this, my attempt at Star Wars tends to start off good, but then get watered down, boring, with clunky dialogue... so I'll just post a few scene ideas that have been running through my mind since I saw TFA.

    BAD GUYS:

    - We find out that the Knights of Ren are indeed force sensitive. They are a paramilitary group that hunt Jedi primarily, but are not (nor were they ever) aligned with the Sith. They (Knights of Ren) view both groups as impure and unclean. In the movie we learn several of their titles, each of which ends in Ren.
    - Kylo Ren was given command of the Knights of Ren by Snoke after he became his apprentice. Unbeknownst to Kylo, Snoke plans to have the Knights murder him once he outlives his usefulness. Benicio Del Toro's character is the "true" master of the Knights, but plays along as ordered to by Snoke.
    - Kylo Ren has a bad argument with Hux during the film, and loses control of his temper, murdering the General. Snoke is really pissed when he finds out, and disciplines Kylo.
    - The only other thing we learn about Snoke is that he got the scar on his head during a fight with a Jedi. We do not learn the name of that Jedi. We do see him in person, and he is tall but frail, as expected.
    - Captain Phasma has slightly more screen time in this movie, but her major scene is a fight against Finn.

    GOOD GUYS:

    - Luke has a major role in this movie, which mostly entails training Rey and helping her search for Snoke and the Knights of Ren. (They never actually encounter Snoke, though).
    - At one point Luke returns to the Resistance base and meets with Leia. It is a bittersweet reunion, as they discuss Han's death, Ben's fall, and current events.
    - Early on in the movie, there's a scene with Luke and Rey training. The apparition of Obi-Wan Kenobi appears before them. It is during this conversation that we find out that Rey is in fact Luke's daughter (Obi-Wan says something like "secrets like this only caused us grief in the past"). It is a very emotional scene, in which Luke also tells her that her mother died during the temple massacre.
    - Luke tells Rey about Kylo Ren's true identity, the Knights of Ren, and Snoke.
    - Luke, Rey, Chewie, C3PO, and R2D2 (in the Falcon) finally track down Kylo and Knights of Ren during the latter third of the movie, and all hell breaks loose. Luke does defeat Kylo, but before he can finish him off, Del Toro's character wounds Rey and has her in a precarious position, demanding that Luke let Kylo go in exchange for his apprentice. Luke relents, but Del Toro does not honor his end of the bargain. Using the Force, he brings a landslide down on top of Luke as they make their escape. Luke is able to use the Force to protect himself, but it's a sufficient distraction to keep him from preventing Del Toro and Kylo Ren from getting away.
    - Finn's main arc in this movie is fighting the First Order with Poe. Finn, now a Resistance commander, helps to lead the ground forces, and Poe is now referred to as a general who leads the Resistance fleet.
    - Finn faces Captain Phasma in melee combat (as mentioned earlier under the "bad guys section) and bests her. However, he shows compassion and does not kill her. She tells him that he is making a big mistake.
    - Poe leads the Resistance fleet in a space battle against the newly discovered main First Order fleet, also in the latter third of the movie. It seems to be going well for them until yet another First Order fleet (led by a new admiral, which we're just now meeting) jumps out of hyperspace and joins the battle. After suffering major casualties, and losses, the remainder of the Resistance fleet is forced to flee.
    - Maz is only briefly in the movie, as a hologram, talking to Luke about the things that Han told her prior to his death. We also find out how she came into possession of Anakin's original lightsaber.
    - BB-8 saves Poe's life during the movie, but overall has a smaller role.
    - Finn meets a young, female Resistance officer during the movie, and you can tell they have a possible future together.

    - End of the movie is Del Toro's character and Kylo Ren bringing Rey before Snoke. The final line is Snoke saying "now you will call ME master."

Yeah I know, kinda lame, but hey what the heck right lol
