Looks great, Steve!
Did you get the voice amp installed? And, did you go with the one that you can get a radio shack?
I'm thinking of getting one for my Stormtrooper helmet.
I did get the RadioShack voice Amp, however, it is installed in my chestbox instead of my helmet (which I'm sure will be freaky). I have noticed that the mic that goes with it, causes some MAJOR feedback if its too close to the amp unit. I'm sure if you mount the unit in your helmet, you'll have to have some if "insulation" to prevent the feedback.
Thanks for the heads up!
No probs, always a good thing to let people know the little things like that.
I'm now officially in the 501st, Midwest Garrison.
Way to go!
They need a Midwest Jedi Academy or something...
Yeah, that sounds prety cool. Great idea Faofa!
And CONGRATS Jon!
How did you go about joining, if you don't mind me asking?
I'm almost done with my Stormtrooper outfit. I hope to getting my underarmor tonight after work.
It's been in the back of my mind to look into the 501st.
Congratulations, Steve! That is SO cool!
What am I being congratulated for? Steve was the one that got into the 501st. My Vader wouldn't make it in because it's not studio quality. If I replaced the helmet with the proper sized one, I could probably make it in.
To join, just go to www.501st.com & click the Join Us link. For Garrison, you could either pick Midwest (IL, MI, WI) or Central (which includes MO). I went with Midwest, mostly because there isn't (much of) a 501st presence in St Louis yet. You'll fill out a form, it will go to the garrison membership officer & then they'll ask you for pictures & then approval comes after that.
Hey Tim, I found a hard drive cooler online that comes with 2 fans mounted in it, they seem to be the exact size we need. They run about $9 each(1 unit, 2 fans), but if you buy 2 they drop to $6. When I order mine later today, you want me to grab one for you?
