    Hi there,

I'm a fairly good newbie when it comes to 3D modelling. That is, I'm better than someone who's never done anything before, but not by much.

I'm wondering if someone can help me learn how to make a ship in either Maya or Cinema 4D (I have access to both). Specifically, I want to model the Naboo Royal Cruiser from Episode II - the one that blows up about 5 minutes into the movie.

I'm fairly good at texturing, shading and rendering. The only problem I have is in actually modelling a nice, smooth organic shape. I've tried using image planes and stuff and I still can't get it right.

Here are some pictures of the ship itself; It should be fairly easy for the type of artists who frequent this board.

    Can anyone help me out?

    Thanks a bunch,
    Syz
