Naboo's Sovereign..Planning Thread! SPOILERS!!

Hey guys,

Well here's our own little corner of JC! Any ideas, comments and suggestions relating to Naboo's Sovereign are well welcome. At the moment the only writers working on it are:

Well the first issue is how many handmaidens should Leia have??

Name: Winter (1st Handmaiden to the Princess)
Age: Eight
Features: White Hair, Relatively same height as Leia, blue eyes.
Homeworld: Alderaan
Extra Information: Winter is very strong willed and stubborn, also very protective of Leia.

Name: Summer
Age: Eight
Features: Long Blonde Hair, A few inches taller than Leia, Hazel coloured eyes.
Homeworld: Naboo
Extra Information: Summer is the trouble seeker of the group and is often jumping into dangerous situations without thinking.

Name: Autumn
Age: Nine
Features: Curly Red Hair, Same height as Leia. Dark Black eyes.
Homeworld: Naboo
Extra Information: Handles a blaster quite well, often quiet and reserved.

Name: Spring
Age: Ten
Features: Dark Black Hair, tallest out of all the handmaidens, Light Black eyes.
Homeworld: Naboo
Extra Information: Spring is the practical joker of the group and loves to tease the Palace guards, secretly has a crush on Luke.


Should she have all four or only two or something like that.

Does anybody have any ideas on the Elite (bodyguards of Anakin) One name has been chosen for the leader of the elite and that is Commander Marcus...any other names or profiles??

The Elite.

There are five of them an they are friends, bodyguards (like Ani really needs them), and personal troops of Anakin's. They were all hand chosen by Anakin during the Clone Wars as his task force while he was leading the rebellion. All are highly trained in hand to hand, weapons, and sleath.

Marcus is the leader of the Elite and Ani's best friend. He also resembles Anakin in height, build, and coloring.

I like the different 'seasons' for Leia's handmaidens. Cute idea.

As for the Elite, I tend to think that "Marcus" sounds too....Earth-ish to be a SW name, but it's fine if you guys like it. I won't complain

Other members? lemme think about it.

What comes next plotwise? What do I need to write?

Hey AA, Pallas!

Well basically you have to introduce the Elite and Leia's handmaidens. Since Anakin has sensed that something's happened to Amidala he gets up and goes into the control room to check.

Basically he finds out that, her ship Summer Rain was supposedly attacked and destroyed by Palpatine. Then as you usually would when u lose a loved one...you'd be upset and shut yourself off. He also doesn't want to tell the children.

I don't know if that makes sense but that's just to give you a idea, you can do whatever you want..it's up to you.

Yeah . . . Marcus is a latin name and I know how to decline it . . . or at least I used to before summer began.

 

Sounds good to me, Ami I really like being told what is expected to come out of a post, since it makes things easier in the long run. What can I say, I need order!!! Alright, I have some babysitting to do at the moment (my nephew, the toddler menace) but I'll crank the post out later tonight. Sound good?!

I wanted to bring up what jade angel just said in the thread.

"Wow! Cool post, but you should be careful about this whole sovereign thing. It makes it seem as if the Skywalkers are the Royal Family or something when we all know Naboo is an elected Monarchy."

I think we should remember this fact or find a way to work around it. . . .

Pallas, I agree with you, we must take that fact into account but here's also what Julie said which I think is true:

I'm not worried about the sovereign thing. It depends on how much canon you want to keep, this is an AU. Here the galaxy has just struggled through a huge war. In history its quite common for a terrified populace decide that they need a monarch to save them from invaders and/or prevent civil war. (i.e. large commitees can be really lousy rulers during wartime - taking too long debating, etc. and the people suffer hmmmm... sounds like what happened in TPM) In this case, it is actually plausible that the Naboo would decide to give Padme absolute power.

Now what that be a good idea if we gave the Skywalker family full power of Naboo? Or keep it the way it is and work another way around it?

Keep in mind that EII SPOILERS (highlight to read) Amidala is a senator in AotC, not the queen. Prehaps she could take the title back after she saves Naboo from Palpy, like Julie said and gain perament rule over Naboo.

Sounds good to me, since that would give Anakin more resources available to find Amidala. He can deploy troops and whatnot, being that he has absolute power.

About the subject of Amidala: I don't think that we want to kill her, but we'll make the readers think she's either missing or dead.

But eventually Anakin could find her in a prison and free her. What do you think?
