New 6" Black Series Coming From Hasbro

I don't recall details of the ST vividly, but was there actually a live action Hondo anywhere in it? I don't remember when he met Rey and/or Chewie.

 

It's a Galaxy's Edge thing. I don't know why they put them together.

Oh ok. He's also featured in the SW The Sims 4 "Journey to Jakku" pack, which also borrows from Galaxy's Edge.

 

Basically, canonically, Rey and Chewie go to Batuu to help the Resistance cell there. Chewie agrees to loan Hondo the Falcon for a run stealing fuel from the First Order.

That's why Rey and Chewie are at the park and why you fly the Falcon for the Smuggler's Run ride.

Because I live in NZ and don’t get all the exclusives, I’ve just ordered a bunch from Dork Side Toys and having them shipped over. Including 3 of the comic series. The Black Friday deals made up for the crazy shipping costs!

I also scored a carbonised Shore Trooper from one of my local stores, which looks really nice.

 

Imperial Senate Guard has been announced as part of the Gaming Greats line.

 

Never heard of these guys, but he looks cool.

 

I didn’t recognise them either. Apparently, they were in The Force Unleashed. Cool-looking figure anyway.

 

Heh, they are really milking these Emperor's Royal Guards, aren't they? Normal version, then Kir Kanos and now Imperial Senate Guards.

I do wonder when we will hear about that rumored HK-47 figure.

 

Yeah this figure is from the force unleashed and in the game they pretty easy to beat

I’m very disappointed in the direction Hasbro is taking with the Black Series. The greed is just ridiculous.

I love the characters they’re giving us, and the quality is always top notch, but the pricing is ridiculous. Spreading Cobb Vanth’s pieces out and calling him a “deluxe figure” was pure disgusting. You’d think they would’ve learnt after the backlash, but guess what, they’ve done it again! The new Boba Fett figure is “deluxe” when it clearly shouldn’t be.



It looks fantastic, but it should be a regular figure. In the past the jetpack has been on the back and sold at a regular price. Pure greed.

 

@Jordan1Kenobi I totally agree with everything you said. “Deluxe” has no real meaning anymore. I didn’t mind paying a little extra for figures such as Grievous or the Heavy Infantry Mando, but these were larger than normal and included significant accessories. Cobb Vanth and Boba are standard figures and should be priced as such.

The Black Series remains a great line of figures, but Hasbro are profiteering from loyal collectors.

 

The last deluxe I bought was Cal Kestis. His accessories justified that price. Before that it was Zeb. At this point, it's just deceptive to do what they are doing.

I've pulled back on my TBS collecting of late anyway. There's stuff I want. But I feel less and less inclined to spend my budget on something i'm just going to toss atop the pile I already have.

My toy photography hobby has fallen off completely for a while now anyway.

Does anyone know a good place to find black series in Portugal?

 

I bought Zaalbar today. I like him and think it's actually a good reuse for Chewie parts. It looks to me like he has a different head sculpt than any Chewie that I've seen, but I could be wrong.

I've noticed a few of these new BF2 figures in stores. They have yet to make an Iden Versio figure, right? I don't count the vague "Inferno Squad" figure. It would be cool if
