These were my first Black Series figures I got to shoot since I started working at Hasbro, so I was super excited to see them go up and the great fan feedback from the posing!

 

Do you know why they chose to base the commandos on TCW instead of the game? Not a complaint from me, as I love the look. Just curious.

 

No, I'm not privy to that information as a photographer. We just shoot what they give us lol

 

Because they had the Hunter figure mold already and this is an easy way to keep using the mold. Toy companies have done this forever.

It's why the entire Robin Hood Prince of Thieves toy line back in the day used Green Arrow bodies for Robin, Gomorrean bodies for Friar Tuck and the entire Ewok village.

Or why He-Man and Super Powers used the same basic body. And in 1989-90 Kenner reused the Super Powers body slightly tweaked for the Batman movie figure line.

Moved to Australia the other day so was happy to get my hands on the Gaming Greats Boss. He looks fantastic. Also grabbed Rampart for a small $15 cause why not.

 

Everything all right? I know moving country is a big thing.

 

So far so good. There’s far more collectibles than in NZ, so I’m gonna have to keep my wallet hidden!

Some new Black Series reveals today. Saw Gerrera is a deluxe figure and looks awesome. There’s also the new Comic series, featuring Infinities Vader, Leia and Sgt Kreel. Gaming Greats Sev as well.

 

Kreel looks really really good.

I’ll definitely pick up Saw and Leia. Probably Vader as well (I know it’s a repaint, but I did enjoy Infinities).

 

Saw looks fantastic. Leia looks good so I won’t mind adding yet another of her to my collection.

I see Kreel has lost half his weight. I know that will annoy a lot of people. They really need to made a bigger mould for him and the commandos, but it’s too late now…

 

I dont like that they did the red saber for Vader. I'd rather it be blue. Same problem I have with the 3.75 Comic Pack version.

I'm definitely interested in that Leia, even though she's clearly kitbashed. That wrap is from the Padme figure.
