Sometimes I feel like starting a thread where we can just share the very local news from where we are. Like today when the regional radio has a main story about a beaver that jumped into a garden pool and swam around.

I'm not sure car chases & random earthquakes/wildfires have the same charm as wildlife swimming around.

It's been a rough couple of days besties. My grandmother passed away yesterday after a somewhat brief battle with Alzheimer's. Today would have been her 95th birthday so we are definitely lucky to have had her in our lives as long as we did but it just sucked how she went from perfectly fine to deteriorating over the past 6 or 7 months, especially once she was quarantined. Telling my daughter was especially rough. It's also hard as today is also my sister's birthday and they always celebrated together so I know she's having a rough time of it instead of enjoying her day like she should. Plus planning a funeral right now with everything is rough, have a lot of people who'd like to come but won't be able to and such. Anyways sorry to bring down the thread but that's whats been going on with me recently.
