Are you just sitting there, parked at the airport, or did you find something to kill time?

 

I'm actually still at home. Luckily I was talking to him so I knew it was late. I'm watching the movie Minari and surprised at how many words of Korean I'm picking up.

 

Our final flight home several weeks ago was delayed due to weather. We landed at 12:37 AM and we have a 7 year old. But I would rather be delayed than try to take off in a thunder storm. There were actually several kids on the flight and all of them did fairly well with the late flight.

 

Yeah this one was delayed for mechanical reasons. Oy.

 

Well I started having another anxiety moment (not a full attack but I needed Xanax to stop it from becoming one). So I couldn't drive to the airport. Ugh what is wrong with me.

Luckily my grandpa was up near there and is gonna pick my brother up.

Meeting the parents isn't nearly as bad as one's nerves make it appear ahead of time. In fact, it's quite alright to be nervous when meeting the parents for the first time.

 

just make sure they don't give you a polygraph test.

 

Don't worry once you've conquered the heart of their son there isn't much they can do about it.

 

The key to beating a polygraph is to clench your butt muscles when you give your baseline answers like your name, and then when you get nervous it will show up as if it's your baseline due to the clenched butt.

True story.

 

2 days to go. Feels like holidays in some way, since at this point, the intellectual part of the job is over, and I'm just producing and sending reports before I leave.

Besties, I've had some setbacks due to medical stuff, but today I finally hit 20 pounds lost since May. Goal is 60 overall. We'll see. But I'm proud of this at least.
