JCC new best friends club thread

Besties my doctor apparently got my results but according to her staff they're sitting on her desk and she'll call me when she gets to read them.

So... Yeah. That didn't happen today obviously. I'll call tomorrow and see if I can at least talk to her nurse about getting me the results before the weekend. I had a panic attack today and don't think I can work or do much of anything until I get more info.

Besties I watched the Uncharted movie.

Tom Holland was good. That was it.

 

Besties my blood tests were negative for tumor cancer markers, so my tumors are almost certainly benign.

Still may need treatment up to and including surgery, but I'll take it over cancer.

I talk to Mayo Clinic's GI docs next week virtually.

Yep definitely a huge relief. I also hope I don't need surgery but I feel secure knowing I'm seeing the doctors at Mayo soon. Best in the world, so whatever they recommend I'll do.

Now I get to do the fun process of calling and getting medical records transferred in time!

 

Besties, tomorrow I'm going to have a heart catherization. It's connected to my heart scare from earlier this year.

Besties yesterday we had our first annual meeting in two years. We had about an hour of actual business stuff then the rest was teamwork and fun stuff. Really good timing, I liked seeing my friends in person again (and two new employees too).

One of the things we did was paint, following an instructor. This is what my dandelion painting looked like in the end.... I'm pretty happy with it and might hang it up!

 

No stent necessary. No blocked arteries, but the doctors are confused why I had cardiomyopathy in the first place.

 

Did you have COVID or another infection?

 

It's possible I had COVID at some point, but not the two times I was tested.

 

Yeah the risk for instance that we've heard so much of for cardiomyopathy from the vaccine is 50x less than the risk of cardiomyopathy from Covid itself.

What I'm saying is, Covid has actually a pretty high risk of causing that. Even if you didn't know you had Covid.

Can they do a antibody test maybe to see if you've had Covid?

 

I can ask my doctor that at my appointment in a couple of weeks.

I have to - 600+ experts could call me, and who knows how many private persons might.

 

I don't know what it's like outside the US, but spam calls are such a problem here thanks to lax regulations (cell phones don't count as robocallers according to the FCC) that almost no one I know will answer a number they don't recognize.
