Ark New Member Meet and Greet? Suggestions please.

Well, it's been kicked around that we need to build up some membership. This is a celebration year after all... So, dodge and I have been kicking around the idea of a weeknight dinner on a Thursday and then a lunch on a Saturday.

So... I'm looking for suggestions as to where to have a dinner and a lunch.

Restaurants are usually a little easier to meet new people since they don't have to feel uncomfortable going to someone they don't knows house and also for us if they turn out to be creepy or something... well then, they don't know where we live...

So... Give me some ideas. I'd like to have this worked out before Mid South Con/ All Con weekend.

 

Well, I suggested Thurs night because it's one of my days off, so how 'bouts I start the ball rollin on that one?

My new fave mid-range restaurant is Texas Roadhouse (Shackleford Crossing). Is February 18th too soon?

 

I'm partial to Senor Tequila's on University.
The prices are reasonable, the food is good and the service is fast.

 

So, are we gonna do this, or what?

How bout we postpone 1 or 2 weeks? I just realized how broke I am until I get paid next Friday.

Well, I can't do the 25th. So, you guys can do without me... I'll check on the 4th.

 

I just found out I can't do the 25th either. Queen Momidala made plans n didn't tell me.

Not sure. I won't know my schedule for Thursday nights until later.

I'm unavailable the 4th... But, you can schedule if you like.

I moved my schedule around for the first possible date... So, it's going to be probably mid or late March before I have a Thursday night open up.

 

Well, the next week (3/11) is the day before both those cons, so I didn't think people would want to do it that week. The next two Thursdays (3/18 & 3/25) after that I'll be unavailable.

 

Lemme see what I can come up with over the next lil' bit...

 

If Thursdays aren't gonna work well maybe we should reconsider. I'm off Weds, but there's church stuff and I know lots of people gave church worship or activities on Weds. Sat morn? If it's a lunch I can do virtually any day of the week, but that gets away from the idea, doesn't it?

 

Well, I'm currently sick so I'm not sure when we'll be trying this...

 

So, April then. We'll celebrate my life-day.
