Awww. Never say never as they definitely will have to bring the films out again to cinemas. Maybe next 4th May or some other event. We do have the 40th anniversary to ROTJ in 3 years time.

I think Shang-Chi will be on Disney + on the 13th November. That’s when I’ll be able to check it out. I’ve heard positive things about that.

I’m definitely excited for No Time To Die... and I’ve heard a lot of positive things for Dune and The Eternals.

Yes Shang-Chi will be available on the 12th/13th. I'm glad I got to see it at the cinema a couple of weeks ago!

I'm keen for those 3 + Ghostbusters Afterlife.
EDIT: Oh and Spidey as well!

With Halloween just around the corner, I'm going to start watching the Halloween series for the first time since there's a new movie out. Might even check out Nightmare on Elm Street since I've never seen those either, kinda new to slasher/horror.

I haven’t seen those. I think the only slasher/horror films I’ve seen are the first two Scream and It Know What You Did Last Summer films.

I’ve been going through the Alien films and audio dramas. Just finished Alien: Out Of The Shadows and Alien: River of Pain audio dramas which leads into the second film; Aliens. Will start up the extended cut of that sometime soon.

How were they? Those are the ones available on Audible correct?

Yes, the audio dramas on Audible. They are amazing and brilliantly produced. The cast is fantastic and the sound design feels like the films. I definitely recommend checking it out.

Out Of The Shadows is set after Alien, more of a stand alone and the voice for Ripley is spot on.
River of Pain is a prologue to Aliens and compliments the film very well. There are some nods to Alien: Isolation.

I’ve yet to start Sea of Sorrows. That is set after Alien 3 but I’m not sure if it is before Resurrection or after it. I’ll have to check on that.

I'd only check out the first two anyway. Alien 3 and 4 don't exist :p

The premise of Out of the Shadows put me off reading it, perhaps unfairly. As far as I'm concerned, all of Ripley's involvement with the franchise is covered by Aliens I-III (plus Isolation, I suppose). I read Alex White's two novels instead and really enjoyed those.

I tend to avoid Alien 3 and Resurrection as well.

I haven’t read the book but I know the audio drama version of Out of the Shadows does differ slightly from the book.

I am curious to see where the next Alien film will go, when Ridley Scott gets around to it. He has The House of Gucci and The Last Duel coming out... I think also a film about Napoleon... and he had said he will be doing a follow up to Gladiator- that has piqued my interest as I love the extended cut of Gladiator.

There’s also a fifth Predator film in the works... called Skull. Will see how that goes.

I don't think it'll happen with the Disney buyout now. The next Alien media is in the form of a TV show the last I heard.

The series is happening with an intended 2023 release.

With the films... Going by what the wikia is saying. The last thing I can find is that there are two potential projects. The one with Ridley Scott is apparently ongoing with uncertainty about whether they’ll continue that thread set up by Prometheus/Covenant.

The other looks to be a revival of Neil Blomkamp’s idea for a continuation of Ripley’s story. James Cameron seems to have some push in that regard.

Both news seems to be from mid-late last year.

Whether or not these films happen or something other comes up instead is hard to say.

That would have been an amazing experience, @I_am_Kooky !!

I cannot wait to watch No Way Home... though with how conditions are at the moment, I’ll have to wait for the home/digital release.

Dune (2021) was incredible. If you can, see it on the biggest screen you can find!

Spider-Man will be next weekend and then possibly Matrix 4

I enjoyed Dune, not having read the books or knowing anything about it.

I know someone who worked on Spiderman...................wonder if they will admit it?
