X-Men 3: The Last Stand is out today October 3rd.

 

It always amazes me how many dvds come out a week, I'm thankful that I only buy the ones that interest me.....
I got a question why is Xmen 3 only one disc, every other Xmen movie had a seperate disc for special features?....Maybe they are putting out a special edition??

Rented Accepted again. It's cheesy and right up my alley

Anyone has a Blu-ray disc player? (people with ps3 does) but I want to know about the product quality.

 

Has anyone picked up the Ultimate Iron Man cartoon release? The animation looks good, but I'm on the fence on getting it.
Best Buy has it on sale for $12.99

 

I picked it up its pretty good. The special features are great, they discuss the retelling and retooling of Ironman backstory. All in all it is well worth the money.

 

To answer about the quality of a blu-ray disc, I spent a Saturday at Christmastime checking out both the BLu-ray and HD-Dvd formats at Compusa. With that being said my test was what I would call inconclusive, The HD-DVd looked and sounded awesome, it was by far the best picture that I have ever seen. At one point I thought I was actually in Superman Returns....well actually it looked that life like. As far as the Blu-ray goes the display unit they had was playing Stealth and I watched about half of it. Now I'm not sure if the disc they had in the display was a true Blu-Ray disc or just a regular dvd upconverted to near hig def quality. The only thing I could compare the picture to was that of a rental video tape, it was blurry at times, and at sometimes pixelated. I couldn't get an answer from the salesman regarding the thing so I was left thinking that the HD-Dvd is the format of the future.....That was until the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) where it was announced that I think it is Toshiba or LG is putting out a combo Blu-RaY and HD-Dvd player in February. It should retail for about $1200. Not bad since each of those machines retail for around $700-$900 each.

Basically if you can find someplace that has everything hooked up right and someone who knows what they are talking about, you should be able to see the difference between them.

You are right, I have read that some Blu-Ray disc are not all great and some are distinctively blurry. Oh well, whenever I have a Ps3, I guess I'll check it out.
